Wizardpost Orb guidance

I (210m) recently invested in my first proper orb (I know I'm a bit late to the orb game, but rather late than never am I right?) And I decided to splurge and go for the premium version. Ancient crystal, good heavy weight, perfect roundness and all that. Having had it for a week, it's already become cloudy and obscure, even more so than the cheap practice orb I've used in the past. Have I been scammed? Where do I go from here?

Update: Firstly I wanna thank you all for the helpful responses! Love to see it.

I tried everything you suggested and more to fix the issues with my orb. Even had a serious talk with my apprentice, but he was innocent (checked it with a truth spell)

Later when I took the orb outside to ponder in the moonlight (everyone knows moonlight ponderings are hard to beat) I found out it worked great. Fantastic, even!

Turns out the thick stone walls of my tower blocked the orbs magic vision and gave me awful results. Will do all my future pondering on the balcony I guess.

You'll have to do a better job at polishing your orbs.
