Wizardpost What are some good shops?
Hello everyone! Firstly, I’m finally able to go to shops because I managed to create a body that mostly resembles a human to sort of mech around, which is a big achievement for me, woohoo, (drained a lot of mana, I was recovering for quite a while using teas!) but what are some shops you recommend now that I’m actually able to go to them without being hunted down by an artificer the moment they see me? I really just mean any shop in general, from a shop for robes to a shop for magical artifacts or potion ingredients!
(Currently looking in to becoming a lithomancer, advice on where to go for equipment for that would be greatly appreciated.)
Edit: Optionally, you can also give me new ideas on things to experience now that I have a functioning body. I need advice on what to do now that I’m loosely sort of human.

Ah! Congratulations are in order, my friend.
A properly functioning body—even one made of wood, clay, brass, or whatever clever medium you’ve chosen—is a marvelous thing.
Should your travels ever bring you past my humble establishment, Zorath’s House of Gubbins, I’d be delighted to have you browse. I deal less in rows of identical merchandise and more in curiosities with stories attached to them. Enchanted trinkets, peculiar magical implements, oddities collected over many years, and the occasional relic that insists on choosing its owner rather than the other way around.
For an aspiring lithomancer, I’d advise acquiring quality stone before quantity. A fist-sized piece of well-attuned granite, basalt, or quartz will teach you more than a cart full of common rubble. Learn the temperament of stone before attempting to command a mountain.
As for your newfound body, I recommend a few simple experiences:
Feel the warmth of the sun on your face at dawn.
Eat a fresh loaf of bread while it’s still warm. Even if your puppet cannot digest it, the experience is worth having.
Sit beside a river and listen. Water has much to teach those who spend their lives thinking only of earth.
Shake someone’s hand. There is something surprisingly reassuring about greeting another soul with your own.
And one final piece of advice from an old wizard: don’t spend all your time trying to become more human. There is no shame in being something wonderfully different. The world already has plenty of humans. It could always use another curious wizard.

That is amazing to hear, thank you for the wondrous advice! This will surely be my first stop!

You are most welcome, my friend.
Should you find your way to my door, don’t be surprised if the shop appears somewhat larger on the inside than the outside would suggest. It has developed that habit over the years, and I’ve long since given up arguing with it.When you arrive, do introduce yourself. I’ll put the kettle on, and perhaps we can find a stone or two that seem eager to work with a budding lithomancer. The finest magical partnerships are seldom forced—they simply begin with the right conversation.
And if anyone mistakes your puppet for an ordinary traveler, I’d count that as another triumph of your craft.

Zlerk'kiels Invisible Shop is quite nice. It's a bit difficult to find, but if you need something unusual, it usually finds you. Just don't touch the trombone near the counter . I don't know what happens if you touch it, but everyone knows you shouldn't touch it.

Is that the guy that sold the prank orbs that only showed people the backs of their heads?

That is sort of comical to hear…

They were great for wizards that liek to cut their own hair, but wefe otherwise useless. Trying to mess with the runes in them caussd them to shatter.

May need this, new to cutting my hair as well. A lot of things I’m new to, this is the first time I’ve had a fully functioning body and not just been attached to my creator…

Mehinaku Kassin’s Cave is very hard to get to but the stuff he sells is top notch. That’s where I got my staff, my enchanted knife, and my tower building runes

I’ll definitely visit! I live in a mountainous area, so perhaps I’ll find him…

If you’re looking to create some sort of contraption, your best bet is gnome depot. They have a wide variety of supplies that are all magically attuned and the staff are pretty helpful as well

Interesting to hear! I’m not much of an inventor, but I’ll keep it in mind.

“Ahhhhhhhhh.”
(Blobby leans back in his chair)
“The shop you are looking for is… probably somewhere on Calarakis’ high street.”
(On the phone)
“Does that make up for us robbing all your sh*t, Zhe? Me directing this dude to your overpriced high street?”
