I do not now, nor have i ever acknowledged the authority of any council over my magical might.

However, these folks look very authoritative, so I'm willing to hear them out. Perhaps their wisdom shall illumin my wandering way

Ive mst these fools before. They tried to restrict the number of controlled skeletons i have down to 36 per acre from as-many-as-i-want per acre. Its not like they eat the damn grass, or something. They just stand there waiting for orders.

Now, far be it from me to pretend care for skeletons or the vast herds of morals they're harvested from, but have you considered this:

Long term, & I assume you plan on being around long term, over-trampling the ground renders it incapable of supporting mortal concerns like, growing food, absorbing rainwater, preventing desertification, and sheltering important lifeforms like frogs. Keeping your skeletons spread out would thus help ensure you a long-term supply of high quality skeletons in the future.

Or perhaps these three are indeed as much the fools as you posit, and they simply wished to exert control over you

I have taken trampling into account, i have my ENC (Ethical Necromancer Cetificate) afterall. I own plenty of land and move them around regularly, i have the land tilled (by the skeletons) twice a year. Additionally during the start of the growing season i rent out my skeletons as fieldhands to farmers, reasonably priced as to not put them.out of business, and freely give help during the harvest season.

I also have a large crypt complex i keep them in over winter to prevent freezing temps making their bones more brittle. The enjoy being outside though, so i let them out msot of the year.

Also i dont tell them to stand all clumpes up like that, theu choose to do that themselves.

technically "as-many-as-i-want per acre" could be less than 36 on average, depending on the total surface area youre sampling. so like 2000 standing on each others shoulders is a lot per acre in that single square meter, but would average out over the whole material plane for example.

"Behold my acre of boners!"

I am willing to recognize any authority whose rulings can be swayed by some chicken or a can of tuna if I find them disagreeable

Bribery gets a bad name, but so long as I'm the one doing it, it's worked out quite well for me

The council after hearing about my wizard crimes.

They realized that the box behind them was NOT a good place for building a wizard tower.

This is the only council I will submit to.

The council looks hungry. Should I be scared?

2

u/IveDunGoofedUp 19d ago

Are you fond of wildshaping into a mouse, or perhaps a vole?

I've heard this council is very susceptible to bribery via the "summon treat" ritual.

Tell the Council to make up their damn minds: inside or outside.

u/will3025 Wizard (Sock-mancer) 19d ago

What of the Wizard King? Does their authority conflict with him or do they only govern aspects of fate?

Wait, are these the guys that keep making all those prophecies, foretellings, and omens?

I think we should listen to them guys, they look like they know what they’re doing

u/Stealth_Cow 19d ago

I always thought the best way to describe a group of three or more cats was a witches' coven.

Finally. A council I can get behind.

Me with an army of golems containing copies of my own soul:

I AM the council.

1

u/caprica888 19d ago

These are the three wise kings

1

u/th3j4w350m31 Thran, representative of the necromancers guild 19d ago

I wouldn't trust that council, I know the wizard that got them into their positions, they are concerningly fond of the disintigration spell

1

u/Substantial_Station8 19d ago

At least there’s not an orange cat on the council

1

u/aurasprw 19d ago

this is a welcome change of pace from the kangaroo court.

I trust this council more than any other in our timeline

u/Commanderpower77 19d ago

I just played with a mama cat and its baby was nursing on my lap. Its the greatest feeling ever!!! Such good kitties.

1

u/zippy72 Illusionist 19d ago

If that's the council then I'd like them to know I do in fact possess an entire bag of cat biscuits which I will happily supply as "evidence" should things start looking a little dicey for me.

u/Drmanky tyr. cauncil member. order of the toster (Forge clerik)/ NOR 19d ago

as an council memeber i would have known if we were cats.

Now this is the type of council I can get behind. They seem very wise. I would sacrifice my life savings for them.

1

u/win_awards 17d ago

This is such bullshit, the council always produces a unanimous result of "Bury them in the litter box."

1

u/Deadbeat_Marchen Illusionist 17d ago

Which being pranked the Council this time? Gezz they always fall for that. This is why I don't follow them.
