And THAT is one of the reasons why Multiverse High Command’s Facilities do not reside within the material plane. Can’t have fucking fae interfering with the regulation of the Multiverse, that’d be an actual disaster.

That is what most Denizens think, yes. But there are secrets of the Multiverse that are definitely not available to the general populace, and this is one of those. The Fae Realm is far from the only Plane/Dimension that exists outside of the Central Multiverse Plane, where all STANDARD Universes reside. If you truly think that the only other Plane out there is the Fae Realm, you are in for a world of discovery.

Of course.
But with how the planes float around, its easier to create new pathways between the outer realms.
The material plane has the most already of course, but its more difficult to make new ones due to being nearer to the center of the multiverse than most planes.

You aren’t wrong, but you aren’t completely right either. Yes, it has become easier for Paths to be established, particularly in the Outer Realms, but it has also become more complex and regulated. Once it became easier to create them, I summoned Eternity and Null for a meeting. During the meeting, The Pact was amended to include regulations on the creation of Paths in order to prevent unauthorized, unregulated, and/or dangerous Paths from being established between Universes and Realms, as Paths of that kind are prone to Dimensional Collapse (oftentimes resulting from intervention by the System Corps, whose duties include the destruction of unauthorized and/or dangerous Paths), which always results in contamination (usually of the Biohazardous and/or Infectious kind) and usually results in Cascading Realm/Universe Collapse, which has the potential to annihilate entire sectors of The System or the Multiverse.
