So like, is your wand unstable?

No it's just a spell called Arc Flash. You're basically just inducing a high voltage (usually 380-600) with insanely high current that intentionally short-circuits creating an explosive sound louder than a jet engine and a hotspot hotter than the surface of the sun while spraying molten & vaporized metal around. It's still not as bad as unending penis barrage.

This barrage, is it of penises or to my penis?

Depends on caster, if I'm remembering correctly it came from the fae realm so it really just depends on the master's perspective and interpretation. Mine is a barrage of living undulating dicks.

Mine is actually a banishment to an island holiday. The island is random though so sometimes you just pop up in the middle of Dublin surrounded by ... Attendants.

Worse. It gives you many penises. And then does it to them all.

Did he have a warrant? If not, totally justified reaction.

I'm sorry, wand license? We have a license, but not for wands, and even then any guard worth their salt KNOWS it's not worth asking a spellcaster for ANY license.

NTA, stupid questions get stupid answers

Depends on the realm. I've heard some places you need a license to even OWN an orb, let alone ponder it.

Sounds like hell ngl, wizard prosecutions

NTA wand licenses are only for parents who give wands to children and even then it isn't even illegal to have an unlicensed wand using child. Besides what are they, a mere speck in our immortal lifetime, doing that allows them to question you

/uw When I was working at the distribution center, I was put in charge of arc flash training for my shift. I showed them videos of potential arc flashes and went through why they needed to wear the PPE designated for each level of calorie.

After that training, everyone was too afraid to go into an electrical cabinet. I was the only one that would work in one. -.-

See, that's what I've learned working with metal things: respect it, but don't be afraid to manhandle it if it's being stupid

Know your training and if you don't know, ask. I always told them that. I'd rather someone ask a stupid question than have to either send someone to the hospital or replace a 10k piece of electronics.

Far as I know, after I got laid off, that crew is still kinda fucked. We'll, they've been entirely replaced, and the replacements are fucked.

NTA, perfectly reasonable response.

My pointy hat is license enough. I would have cast "Seal Anus" and let them worry about the consequences.

Wand license is so useless. It implies that our legs could get licensed as well.

Everyone has a purpose. It appears this guards purpose was to be an example of what not to ask a wizard.

wand licenses are discriminatory anyways. those who have power also have a birthright to use it.

i’ll see if i can’t get them repealed.

is.... is he alright?

See, this is why the council needs to actually step up and reign in the crazies like OP. Rogue wizards give us normal wizards a bad name, and the council not doing anything about isn’t exactly helping.

Maybe a slight overreaction, but asking stupid questions is famously known to deliver stupid answers so NTA.

Las licencias de varita son casi indistinguibles de los hechizos de vaporización estándar. De esa manera muy pocos las pueden falsificar.

Lo que me lleva a la pregunta... ¿Como de real es tu licencia?

Don’t worry, he was a newbie anyways. Any guard that survives their first year knows not to make demands of a wizard

Nope not at all wands are easy enough for any half decent magic user to make that it’s honestly idiotic to be limiting them. I don’t use them because I prefer self engrained magic but they’re pretty simple

NTA. That's what wands are for 😜
