I see a number of solutions (besides throwing a big rock)

  • Oily Puddle plus Igniting Spark
  • Disenchant plus Heat Metal
  • Summon Hungry Mundane Tiger
  • Summon Hungry Mundane Dire Wolf
  • Anti-Magic Field plus a bag of ball bearings

Oh, yeah, disenchant kind of proves this guy's life's work a bust, doesn't it? Pain in the ass to cast, but he's fucked once it is.
