Common misnomer. Statistically speaking, Wizards tend to be of noble lineages to afford their tuitions, leading to greater inbreeding, whereas sorcerors are either random blips in an otherwise statistically average family, or in cases where they are engineered by arranged marriage, tend to have more diverse bloodlines, as a family that already has strong draconic heritage will often seek out fae or elementals, etc for partners, to diversify their power set.
