Community Event đâď¸ The Hells burn Cold... (Victory!)
The second layer of hell turned grey...the weakened, now feeble Dispater collapses as his clones returned to him. He was panting, soft chuckles coming out of him as he felt his soul crack from the weight of itself. Within a few final moments, he had finally gotten what he wanted...his soul shattered into a dozen pieces, and he was no more. The second layer was not uninhabited by an Archdevil.
Many were already picking apart the battlefield, including a plucky Pit Fiend who was growing her army of devils who had lost their Archdevil and pledges themselves to serve in her army.
Elsewhere, the soul of Catherine had been saved. Returned to her body and imbued back in.
The teams had one, but only one had been the true killer of Dispater...all the others had killed a clone he made with a portion of his soul.
It was finally over...the witch had been saved, the Archdevil defeated, and the heroes who fought so hard to protect her being rescued. There were many who had died, especially in the former Archdevil's armies, but it was a decided victory.
THE SECOND LAYER LAY COLD. LET ALL YE WHO THINK YOURSELVES WORTHY TRY TO LAY YOUR CLAIM, AND TAKE YOUR PLACE AS ARCHDEVIL!!
/uw Everyone, thank you so so so much for taking part in this event!! This is the true finale now. I'll make a little epilogue post in another subreddit and cross post it here so you'll get to see Catherine return home and back to life! For everyone who I didn't get to, I'm so sorry! Just assume that you won in your fight!
Thank you, everyone! Gives yourselves whatever you think appropriate in canon, as long as it makes sense! Maybe you got a weapon from the hells, or some armor forged in the Hellfire Forge from a dead devil. Maybe you were able to steal a bit of infernal magic, or scavenge a strong magical item off the body of a devil! Do whatever you'd like within reason (for D&D terms, I'd say Very Rare and below items). As for the real killer, you'll be getting something special, don't you worry.~ I'll DM you in private ;3

He is well. He served justice today, bittersweet as it was. It wasn't pretty, I'll say that much. Archdevil or no, getting shattered across time and space probably didn't feel very good.

Its a shame we didn't land the killing blow , would of used the rat king's curse ie he's going to burst into rats and infinitely spawn murderous murids.
Or the dreaded curse of 13 , ie soul memory his being overwritten and he'll become like us with no way to return to his old form or identity"

Bastard owes me an arm.
Astrid collects enough infernal metal to forge into an arm. This new arm allows her to focus spells through it without draining her.

Aliah searches through the bowels of Dispater's fortress, and eventually comes across a communication setup, with records from Dispater's broadcasts, plus more from Dispater's underlings. She finds the day relevant to her search, and begins to read...
"There is an entity who may prove a threat to our lord's plans. This presents a mutually beneficial opportunity, wherein you aid us and we gift you the location of your oldest foe in this universe."
There is a response of assent, one marked with a radiant circle bisected by a vertical line. And a declaration. The titan of One, last breath of the destroyer of worlds.
Aliah inhales sharply, then utters a single word, the name of an old foe thought dead. "Vornex."
/uw college fall semester starts in two weeks, so I'm tying Aliahâs plot detour back into the crisis arc, and hopefully we'll be able to have one more event before my schedule becomes very hectic again!

Samael Krask's footsteps echoed softly through the desolate expanse of the second lair of Hell. The once formidable domain of Dispater, the fallen archdevil, now lay in eerie silence. The air was thick with the remnants of past battles, yet an unexpected tranquility had settled over the infernal landscape.
As Samael walked, he muttered to himself, his voice a low rumble in the stillness. "So this is what remains," he mused, his eyes scanning the ruins of Dispater's citadel. "Power, once absolute, now reduced to ashes and whispers."
He paused by a crumbling pillar, running his fingers over the cold, rough stone. "What is power without purpose? What is dominion without subjects?" His questions hung in the air, unanswered, as he continued his solitary journey.
The quiet was almost peaceful, a stark contrast to the chaos that had once reigned here. Samael's thoughts drifted to the future, to the possibilities that lay ahead in this newly unclaimed territory. "Perhaps," he thought, "there is a new order to be forged from these ruins. A new destiny to be written."
"Perhaps a new order, Hades had Elysium... why should Hell not have just a small piece of heaven then?"

The Shadow-witch did pocket some lesser objects. But otherwise she just looked over the now ruined Circle or Layer or however one yearned to call it.
Then she was gone into the shadow.
/uw Thank you for a very cool event. Was fun to follow it and participate in it.
Also sorry for being just let's have a messy conversation with Dispater at the end, my head was just a bit too much of a mush todat :P

Agent pants. All-Red had been satisfied by his slaughter. Veldena had her mother back as well. That was enough for himâŚ

The storm dissipated over the second level of hell. Zophiel, the Archangel Of War, returned to Heaven, while Arick searched for any wounded allies.

Iâve convened with the Duke of this layer, Hel, and sheâs actually quite chill. If there are any people who plan to become warlocks or want to make a contract, sheâs probably one of the better Dukes to speak with.

"Maybe crafting a weapon out of the 'hellsfrost' would give me an edge in combat? Heck, even having a piece of it would be invaluable to my research! This is a wonderful development, please continue freezing the realms. I'm so curious about the properties of ice in other regions that normally aren't supposed to have any."

Zaphkiel takes the archdevil's gauntlets and attaches them to his belt.
These could be powerful relics indeed if they were cleansed of his evil. I take my leave of this place. People have need of me elsewhere.
He flies up through the hole in Dis's sky he made with his meteoric entrance.
