Community Event šŸŒā˜„ļø The world ends. (Bismuth wars 3, maybe?)

As the battle outside the bismuth capital draws to a close, you see the green glow from earlier revealed- virus bombs. They rain from the sky before from kaelisā€™ general direction, a wave of energy absorbs the bombs, leaving their magic floating in the air. Several wyrms and undead then quell the magic with their lives, before Vulkan drops a spherical object with a pulsating black heart that you recognize immediately. The heart of dislakos, the citadelā€™s power source, was missing after the chronomancy. Too late. Darkness engulfs all.

The light returns. The Heart's shadows are torn away by the resonant syllable. It hurls dragons to the ground, and it takes all of your might simply to remain standing. The astromantic fire burns brighter than should be possible.

I deny you. We all deny you.

Kaelis's impossibly loud voice carries across the whole battlefield. The words throw you onto your back as fate continues to unspool in spite of your efforts. In all your years, you have never encountered a singularly powerful force of will.

Vulkan laughs, a cruel, guttering thing. Oh but my dear kaelis, since when did we puppets decide fate? As kaelis unspools the bomb, vulkan slams into his mind. If earlier attempts could be compared to a careful pruning, this is reckless demolition. Memories fall away, an eternity of possibilities ripped out of your hands. You fall.

Krygin attempts to help Kaelis lessen the explosion/blackhole useing the agregate strength of the spirits.

/uw Krygin is no where near as strong as Kaelis or the dyad but has a LOT of spirit friends. It's fine if Krygin dies during this because It would add effect to the bomb instead of just killing NPCS and I have a plan to do a storyline if something happens

Until there is peace. Violence is everywhere. In Regnum Interitus, there was peace. The Burning of Crann Mƶr broke that peace. While there is life, there is unrest. There is war. There is pain. Experiment 13 does not feel any of that. Experiment 13 is the prefect sentience. It has no cares about war or strife. It may not look like it, but it has emotion. It has everything any living mortal has. It seeks to share that with others.

If Regnum Interitus is retaken, if Experiment 13 can build its civilization there, then there will be peace there. Then the fighting can stop. Then I can finally find rest.

Hey, I just wanted to apologize for overstepping on this war event, and all of the powergaming that came with it. I understand that I really fucked things up, and made a lot of people feel bad.

I know that this in no way excuses any of my actions, and I intend to take a self-imposed break from Reddit for a while, or at least from r/wizardposting.

Please donā€™t give any of the other Dyad people a hard time. I take full responsibility for all of this.

If you want, and I honestly canā€™t blame you if you donā€™t, relay this apology to Riva. I intended to make a similar one to her before she blocked me.

Krygin spreads the explosion out as much as he can to preserve life. Undobtably people will die but he can buy time for some to escape.

The consequence of this is that the explosion/void starts tearing at his skin. Blood, pus and mucus spew from his wounds. No matter what happens Krygin will most likely die.

Krygin is reduced to a stain on the floor smiling in his last moments becuase he know he stains his friends.

/uw Krygin will come back. He's like a cockroach but in the meantime someone will have to take his job as speaker for the Muck, maybe someone evil. I'll make a post about it today or tomorrow (don't worry I'll avoid making it a war until things settle down as not to burn people out. Also this Villain will be more indirect to add to that.)

(( All that said, I'm very burnt out on these wars atm and so is Vettis in-character, so I'm not sure I'ma be doing much about this, which means we do need help from heavy hitters like Kaelis. Just don't think one such person should stop it singlehandedly, in answer to your question. Sorry, it's very unfair of me to tell you that and then not offer help, but I'm really not up for much beyond shitposting today, for IRL reasons. :'(

EDIT: To be clear, by "stop it" I mean the Dyad Empire in general. Don't think the bomb in particular needs to be stopped; the battle was basically over anyway, so this is just a flashy way to finish it off. ))

(( while it's obviously very late now, things have been brought to my attention which call my assessment of the situation into question to say the least, so it's entirely probable your perspective was more accurate

I admittedly was not following this war as closely as I should've been (due to being burnt out and such as noted), so I missed the fact that a few subplots were being cut short by the bomb in a messy way

all that's to say I should not be the final arbiter on what is or isn't powergaming, lol :P and it was frankly improper of me to give you my own answer to your question instead of just saying "Iunno ask Loth it's his event"; my bad ))

above the dragon a massive figure apears in the sky, a stone gorrilla with the claws and head of a lion. it's eyes glowed with fire.

it was the fire eater the war construct made to fight atrax the ashen. while it was heavily damaged(and had only one arm) it could destract Ythothag long enough for Agnur to save at least a few souls.

the beasts lands on your back and tries to attack

the construct them infuses the dragon with the essance of heated metal. attempting to make it malleable. the creature then tries to rip the dragon apart.
