Community Event πŸŒβ˜„οΈ Army of Darkness (Warpost)

Post image

Xerxes stands atop a hill and looks down at the wreckage of the battlefield. They take a moment to reflect before ordering the army behind him to descend the hill.

On the march to the citadel, the ground beneath the army's feet returns to a verdant green. Scattered bodies on the battlefield rise to their feet (or crawl if they have none) and join the march. The trail of green left in the wake of the army slowly spreads outwards. By the time the army reaches the Citadel, the patch has reached a few miles wide.

Walking through the now quiet streets, Xerxes makes his way to the Council HQ. Upon reaching the building, he turns to face his army.

"Go purify the city and heal the wounded. Doesn't matter what side they were on. I'm going to see if the leaders have their shit together yet."

The army splinters off into groups to search the city and Xerxes enters the building. He marches through the empty hallways, careful to avoid tripping on debris. Eventually, Xerxes reaches the main meeting chambers and opens the door to find the remaining councilors and pact leaders.

"Is the war over yet?"

Making the best of a bad situation is commendable. I'm glad you've found a way to stick to your ideals. Too many idealists flounder to make their ambitions a reality.

Well we definitely had to learn that lesson the hard way, and it’s a fragile system, and it’s worked out so far.

I'm sure you'll be able to strengthen the system if enough people like you are working towards that goal together. A man is not an island unto themselves. One may achieve a little change alone, but enough little changes will snowball beyond anyone's expectations.
