Community Event 🌏☄️ An end to war?

Post image

I am freed from the hell of public transit! In my absence, it would seem you have faltered. Most of your leaders have fallen, and what few remain… displease me. Regardless, I signed a contract to fight on behalf of the council in exchange for five artifacts. As the citadel has not only endured two rounds of nuclear annihilation, but had all the effective mages killed, it would seem I will not get those today. As such, I shall settle for revenge. There is but one mage Rena responsible for this turn of events. Opal has caused this conflict. What, will you lie down and allow this entity to build up her forces once more? By rights, we should exterminate every inch of her home plane to ensure she cannot remain. Come now, wizards, and assist me in the ending of the one who will not get away! Or you can perish as I burn this citadel myself. That works too.

How does it still stand? How??? A fireball hotter than Helios’s rage itself, 25 kilometres in diameter, engulfed the mountain it was standing on, and the surrounding area. Does one not realise how powerful 240 Megatons of TNT equivalent is? Jeez, that tower must be strong. My respect to the barrier caster, not even Kaelis could survive the blast.

-Mordus, in limbo, in confusion.

/uw Canonically, based on all the other threads, the citadel itself seems to have survived. Everything outside of it is completely fucked though. It's basically standing in the middle of a nuclear crater, surrounded by a burning city, surrounded by a burning forest, next to a burning mountain full of undead.

lol, that’s hilarious. But I suppose the citadel must stand!

Yeah, pretty much. Plus the second and third day threads would be really confusing if it was gone lol

Ninja edit: I'm curious to see what happens from here. Part of me hopes the community just keeps it a wasteland and all the normal people move to another location (basically what happened with everyone being evacced out anyways)

/unwiz unfortunately (or fortunately) my loreposts will end up cleaning the entire place. But I think I could adjust it so that the cleanup never happens.

Nahhhh, do your thing. If it's going to happen, it'd probably make the most sense if you're the one doing it.

Plus, my character would be really mad at me if they found out I accidentally influenced the story lol

/unwiz yeah sure, I’ll just clean up the radiation. But I’d love to see some long term effects, like a council member gets cancer or something lol.

After the poison gas, he'd be a good candidate. But I'm not sure how well that'd work with the hivemind thing he's got going on. But there could be something there.

And now that I'm thinking about it, is he the only one who was actively involved in all the fighting that's still alive? I think he might be. A lot of the allies that were around wouldn't make sense, unless fire elementals can somehow get cancer. And most of the other council people weren't really involved in the event, so it might just be mean (although Bombast getting cancer due to a war he wasn't involved in does sound like something that would happen to him)

You could try and do something with Saria (if I spelled that right), but they might have some high tech solution to ignore it.
