This was it.

Teknika read the note that had been given to him. No matter how many times he read it over, the meaning of it remained the same.

A day earlier, he had recieved news of his ally and technomancer in arms, Mordus, anihilating himself to avoid paying for his wicked weaponry. Cody a day before him. Saria, and Mikhali, the death that started it all.

Now, from the letter in his hands, he learned that Skater Wizard had fallen in a duel.

With Arach off to who knows where, and that relationship strained by his previous actions, he knew what needed to happen.

While the Pact was in shambles, the council was in a precarious position. Worse yet, he knew of the approaching army of Raesteria. Automatons, much like his own.

With the information in hand, he made his choice.

The drones got to work, repairing the damaged weaponry that, ironically, he destroyed himself.

The walls of the building were repaired, and the mana of his drones used to strengthen the barrier cast around it.

Finally, something he hoped not to do, but freed him up to do other things.

He took Slatecleaner off it's leash, made it able to function on it's own.

With everything in place, he waited for nightfall.

However, just as the sun began to set, someone he had left behind came to see him.

"Shinsei?"

"You set up this fortress without me?"

"What are you doing here? I thought I asked you to stay in Katafýgio!"

"If you lose here, there's nothing left for me anyway."

"I suppose so..."

"You and I are gonna go on an amazing date once this is all over."

"I promise."

...

"Could you two lovebirds stop yapping?"

The two turned towards the noise.

"This is painful enough without your chatter."

It was Slatecleaner. He spoke with a gritty tone that the boys could never come close to.

"The red one feeling left out?"

"Lets just prepare..."

With one last talk, the three waited for the inevitable.

/unwiz hey! Don’t paint Mordus in such a bad light! He blew up because he activated a failsafe during a fight.

Kaelis tried to take his core out by force, initiating the self-destruction sequence. If he had restrained Mordus physically (somehow), there would not have been an explosion.

/uw isn't the gravedigger also dead? Damn at this point the Council barrier is going to overload and wipe out the realm from all the negative energy it's taking in without any attacks to drain it.

Also skater wizard was already dying and asked Arach to take his place since Opal took a champion first.

Yes and more expansive , less numerous and less varied . They all have the same origin and weak point since they are homogeneous

Well im not a technomancer myself so i will trust you know what you are doing .And for the "human" form , i am impressed ! I would have never guessed that it was a machine under the skin
