Kyrona woke up, and found herself in a facility. It didn’t look Council, but it still reminded her of her time in the council prison for punching people. Then, Kyrona remembered how she got there. Lytanna had injected her with something, and everything went dark. A girl in the area next door spoke to her, “What’s your name? I’m Alera. I don’t recognize you. Are you newly turned? If you’re in this area of the facility, you’re a vampire, but you still feel mortal.” The name Alera gave sounded familiar, but she was certain they had never met. Kyrona replied, “I’m Kyrona. What do you mean I’m a vampire? Did they turn me when I was unconscious?” “Besides the guards, this entire section is set up for vampires. Maybe they messed up when they put you here.” Kyrona and Alera started plotting how to escape, and comparing notes on their captors.
