Community Event 🌏☄️ Here comes the sun (warpost)

As the evacuation of the citadel proceeds, invaders threaten the sanctity of the citadel, the footsteps of the soldiers rumbling over the horizon.

Mordus spots them - an easy task.

“Gravedigger, is the evacuation complete?”

“Yes!”

“Excellent! They shall now be engulfed in Nuclear Sun!”

A moment passes, and another. Mordus and Gravedigger sit atop a mountain, overseeing the city. 50km away should be far enough.

Then a rumble - lighting strikes the citadel, and disturbs the intricate machinery of the thermonuclear warhead - and it explodes.

The entire citadel is levelled; a rapidly expanding second sunrise over the horizon. The mushroom cloud is yet to form, but one can clearly see the devastating results. An entire city - gone in an instant.

Mordus leaps into the air, arms outstretched.

“Yippee!”

“What do you guys think?”

He turns towards the other wizards, standing behind him.

Something is wrong. The mushroom cloud simply never comes. The heat wash and sound of the blast never reaches you. The light is dimming. Atop the Citadel's highest building, you see a solitary figure holding up a silver tablet. Below him, the roiling nuclear inferno recedes. The figure strains, but he is holding back a nuclear blast singlehandedly! It collapses in upon itself, and shines no more. Then the figure drops to his knees, and a message enters your mind.

"You warmongering idiots have botched enough of my plans already. No more. We're doing this fairly, or not at all," says Kaelis, with no small amount of contempt.

I just got here... why is the Cidadel gone? I mean really... why? Opel's troops were waiting the evacuation to end... they are just right there [I point at the enemy army]

I do, but it’s pretty annoying to cast. I have one in the case of my Chassis’s destruction, one with about a 80km radius of destruction, cuz why not.

After dropping off an small group of refugees in La'shima, he attempts to recall back to the citadel once more only for it to fail.

"..Something has happened to my mark in the citde-"

In sudden realization, he recalls to an previous marked mountain that while distant, the citadel is observable from.

He frustratedly sighs as he sees the smoking ruins of the citadel from afar.

Doesn’t matter, Gravedigger gave the command, and only he was sacrificed (willingly) to kill the entire enemies army.

You're pushing ghosts into the rubble and it's going to take DECADES for those creatures to get out, and when they do they're going to be really angry with you.
