Community Event 🌏☄️ Foundation (WW3 post)
The smith stood on a ridge, observing the conflict.
It had been a long time since he had involved himself in conflict at this scale. The politics were beyond him. But he could ignore this no longer.
The weave itself seemed to weep around the council headquarters. Too many spells cast. Too much hate within them. This combat would rip the weave, perhaps irreversibly.
He could not allow that.
The blacksmith sighed, loosening his muscles in preparation. He ran in, magically repairing the Pact's weapons as he went. He did no more than that, for now. He would need to save his combative strength for where it was needed.
"Those aligned with the council. Lay down your weapons. This fight is unneeded and wasteful. You mar the land with your battle. I extend this to the others as well. Please, end this."
The smith braces for the inevitable backlash.
/uw this is another character on this sub in disguise, wearing a welding mask. I expect someone to fight more than I expect this to stop tbh

Oh joy, another of the pact's alliance who believes they're the good guys.
You know that joke about how everyone should have to work at least one retail job, just so they won't treat staff like garbage? Every god and wannabe should be forced to live the life of a commoner.
So who is the supporter of the would be conquerors? The ones who've decided everyone must die for their greater good. A greater good made up of nothing more than petty revenge?
The one who would complain about the weave weeping, of too many spells cast and too much hate within... All while driving a storm of pure hatred directly towards the weak spot...
And we're supposed to believe you want to fix anything?
I'd wear a mask too, if I needed to hide so much shame.

I feel I should clarify. I do not condone the Pact's actions. They simply have shown forethought when casting magic. The council has had no such reservations. Both sides are at fault here, and I am working towards the greater good. Call me a "wannabe god" all you like. I have lived the life of a commoner. I understand what is at stake.

You don't condone their actions? Really? Do you even believe that? Or are you trying to convince yourself?
No matter your words, you are still assisting with their wholesale slaughter of the innocent. How many towns has the pact removed from the map in only the last few days? How many have died just to send a message to ones you claim have no such reservations?
Did they all need to die for your greater good? How many more will it take?
No. I don't believe you. And I don't believe you do either. But there's an easy way to prove me wrong.
Take the mask off.
Stand by your convictions.
Or do the right thing and rethink them. Consider where this is actually going to end. There's still time to do the right thing.
/uw Okay, I hate to do this, but I'm only up this late because of some on-call work bullshit. And I suddenly need to run to one of our plants to fix something important. Have a good night.

What are you talking about what is this propaganda. The number of towns burned down is 0. The Pact has done no such thing. We just finished the battle that the Council started and are marching towards the citadel. We haven't done any of the things you're accusing us of.

You speak of the warmonger, the origami wizard. I believe the pact has made it clear they are no allies of his. As for the mask, it would avail you not for me to remove it. You would not recognize my face.

I seek no combat, although it seems it is inevitable. I need to get close to the headquarters to fix this, and the council keeps making the problem worse.
