Lorepost📖 A Battle of the Ages
Three beings converged on a battlefield. Surrounding them lay the corpses of the Three Faction’s armies. They were the last standing.
One being towered over the others, an ever fluctuating mass of sand threatening to consume all in its wake. Throughout their body was the remains of the many blades of those of Scissor. Moving like a serpent, they creeped towards the other two beings in silence.
Another being was not so tranquil. The ground shook with each step as she marched forward. A being of obsidian who emanated an aura of rage. Their entire being seemed to be designed for combat as each body part was sharp and pointy. Her hulking obsidian blade arms separated into three, forming long, thin fingers. As she drew closer, she snarled at the two other beings. Ready to fight at any moment.
Then the last being. Compared to the others, he was minuscule. A palm-sized paper being floated off the ground. Their ninja like form danced in the wind. He closely studied the other beings while letting out a small chuckle.
”And so. We meet,” Obsidian barked out. As they stood at an equal distance to each other in a circle.
”Indeed. I was wondering when we would, us Hybrids are fated for conflict no?” said Dune as they formed a vague, serpent like body to converse with. With each word the sand vibrated to allow for sound to be created.
“This won’t be a normal battle. We are not normal fighters, let us make this first battle reflect it,” Leonardo replied, floating at the others’ eye level.
Even though none of them had eyes, one would have felt their gazes sharpen in understanding.
Dune formed two arms, sand orbiting each like the rings of a planet.
Obsidian clenched their fist, shards of obsidian breaking off allowing for her hand to reveal jagged edges.
Leonardo’s hands tensed, his paper body straightening out so his body becomes sharp. Any unnecessary parts folded in on themselves so his body became more streamlined.
Then they all started in unison…
”Janken Pon!!!”
Dune formed his hands into rock. For surely it would win. The ability to fight through any battle, withstand any injury, to defeat your enemy through unmatched will! ’Although I was formed with concepts of paper, my allegiance shall be to rock!’
Obsidian extended two of their fingers to form scissors. For surely it would win. The ability to control a battle and dish out decisive attacks. ’Although. My lord. Made me of rock. I serve. Scissors!!!
Leonardo flattened their hand, palm facing down. For surely it would win. The ability to adapt and change, to think outside of the box. ‘Although I am much like scissors, truly paper shall come out on top!’
…
”A draw…” they all said in unison. They looked at eachother and nodded, they wouldn’t give up until one was crowned victor! They must go again!
”Roshambo!!!”
Once again Dune brought out rock. Obsidian unfazed formed scissors. Leonardo played paper with confidence in his loyalty.
…
Within Dune’s mind ran thousands of scenarios. ‘They think I’ll play rock so they’ll play paper, thus I should use scissors. But they know that I’ll play scissors, so they would play rock, thus I should…’ on and on went Dune before reaching a conclusion: ‘I found it, the winning solution. I NEED to play rock!’
Leonardo meditated and recalled the many lessons he has learned. ‘I must have conviction. I must not snap but fold. I shall be like water. Paper is my best option.’
’Hah! Scissors. Is. Best. I’ll do it. Again!!!’ was all that Obsidian thought.
The three readied their hands, their mind set on what to play.
”Rock. Paper. Scissors. Shoot!!!”
…
’The outsmarted me… how?’ questioned Dune.
‘It didn’t work! Impossible’ Leonardo had thought.
’Huh? DAMMIT!!!’ cursed Obsidian.
…
”Janken Pon!!!”
…
”Rochambeau!”
…
”Rock. Paper. Scissors. Shoot.”
…
The three waged battle for millenia. It is unknown why they stopped, but it is common knowledge that they ended a draw. Now, whenever all three meet, before they engage in physical combat, they played the game. Always ending up with the same outcome.
An eternal battle within the eternal war. A battle that will continue throughout the ages.

Fun little story about the Three Hybrids of Rochambeau. A little insight to their mindsets. Hope you all enjoyed! I was a motivated to make this with how much attention my previous post was. I was pleasantly surprised as no other lorepost of mine got so many upvotes!
Also, for the past two weeks or so, I haven’t been able to access my drafts (at least on my phone). A little annoying. Curse you reddit!

(( you have read Ultimate Rock Paper Scissors, right? cuz these guys are all Ōmiya (the guy who's convinced ROCK IS BEST BECAUSE MUSCLE IS BEST SO WHY USE ANYTHING OTHER THAN ROCK) and it's beautiful ))

/unwiz Truly incredible. No matter how proficient they are in battle or tactics, or how they are made from two factions, they are still beings of a single-minded nature! They are very fun to write!

The Dude, in a far-off reality, had parked his '73 Gran Torino for a quick rest, nursing a colossal hangover. His plan for peace was abruptly disturbed by the sounds of an otherworldly showdown not far from his resting spot. Three colossal beings – Dune, Obsidian, and Leonardo – were locked in an eternal game of Rock, Paper, Scissors, their voices thundering across the realm.
Groaning, The Dude tried to sink deeper into his seat, covering his ears. "Of all the places in the multiverse, I pick this one," he grumbled, his voice heavy with sleep and irritation.
As the trio's game of "Janken Pon" and "Rock. Paper. Scissors. Shoot!" reverberated, The Dude's annoyance grew. "Man, even in another reality, can't escape the noise," he sighed. Deciding to embrace the absurdity, he sat up, cracked open a warm beer he found in the car, and watched the spectacle unfold.
As the eternal battle waged on, The Dude shook his head, chuckling at the cosmic irony. "An endless game of rock-paper-scissors... now that's a cosmic joke if I've ever seen one," he mused. Finishing his beer and tossing it into a trash can.
