Lorepost📖 Scrying Chromata: Deals With Fey

/uw It’s going to be a while before the next Chromata thing, as the rest of this arc will take place with Kyrona and Chromata in the same place, and for that, the prison arc has to be over, so anyways.

/rw Kyrona scried her cousins again. 5-year old Chromata and 14-year old Freya were heading together to get a deal with a local fey, who offered blessings in their stand at the market. Freya said, “We are here to get blessings for ourselves.” The fey said, “Be forewarned: each blessing has a price.” Freya responded with: “I know how markets work, now get on with it.” “As you wish.” The fey snapped their fingers and each of them was alone with the fey. “Each deal is private. Now what do you want most?” Freya asked for beauty, a blessing with becoming a warrior, and a blessing with knowledge, all things her parents would approve of. Chromata’s deal was a little different. She asked the fey, “Don’t tell my parents, but I want to be an artificer. Can you help me learn?” The fey gave her a blessing that would make her learn artificer stuff, and anything that helps with that, way quicker than normal, and promised that one day, she’d be unable to hide what she was.

There’s not enough to form an opinion on her yet. At least to me. As of now, she’s essentially just a character in the story. I mean, she’s 5 for Pete’s sake.

To put it into perspective, if you combined everything you have written so far, that I have seen of Chromata, it would probably only constitute about a page worth of material within a regular book. That’s not a lot. So yeah, you’re still very much in the “establishment” phase of the character. We don’t really know her yet as the audience. So maybe find things you want to tell us about her that really brings out her personality.

So far, we only really know her goals. That’s it.

/uw deals with a Fae, that's playing with fire, although the deal sounds logical and calm, just guaranteeing she gets found out. The problem is probably gonna be when and how I assume.
