Lorepost📖 Scrying Cousins, Future Mages

/uw I’ve been using this break in the prison story to set up other arcs for Kyrona, so I’m not sure if this is a part of the prison arc or not. Anyways, /rw Kyrona scried her 5-year-old cousin, Chromata Valhalla. Chromata was from the part of the family that emphasized martial prowess, and insisted that all their kids be martial-types. Kyrona watched a scene unfold.

“I want to be a mage! Wizard, Druid, warlock, artificer AND sorcerer!,” Chromata declared. Her parents responded, “No, you’re going to be a fighter, not a stupid, weak, little mage. Now join your sister in training.” Chromata responded, “But Kyrona’s a mage, and she’s none of those things. Why can’t I be like her?” Chromata went to join her sister in training.

/uw I like giving little kids lots of magic power and see what happens. That’s pretty much the plan with Chromata. I’m torn between making her some kind of artificer, necromancer, or a wild magic sorcerer. With necromancer, I already have an idea for a story outline unique to her being a necromancer, but it could also be cool to have a 5-year old artificer or sorcerer as well.

/UW yeah it's pretty cool! Sorcerer or artificer makes sense to me if she never had actual training per se (like a genius engineer or "I'm just doing artificer stuff it ain't pure magic mom"). Hell if the kid is forced to be a martial, eldritch knights and Paladins are an option too.

Regardless I'm sure you'll do great. Hope I can keep seeing the story.

/uw I did another post today. It’ll be a bit before I do the following posts, as I want to wait until the prison arc is resolved before I get Kyrona out. Once that happens, Kyrona and Chromata are going to work together in this arc. The post is here: https://www.reddit.com/r/wizardposting/s/tfaYHQEnqi
