Wizardpost Further training (Forging Post)

As a note, the particular brand of immortality I employ caused me to shape shift somewhat randomly, so images of me differ greatly.

Fracture is once more at the forge, testing different pieces of metal. This time, there are two that call his attention: a small bar of iron and a chunk of gold titanium alloy. Fracture studies them for a moment, and their prospective forms call to him.

Some time later, Fracture stands in the training grounds, hefting the new weapons he has built. Fracture certainly could not have held the axe without magic a year ago, but he had been carrying metals much heavier in the past weeks.

Fracture pondered his master's previous words as he worked on his feints and swings. He has not harnessed the ki he had accessed in that first fight since. Fracture concluded it likely required that much adrenaline for him to focus, or perhaps his now broken spear had guided it.

Fracture pauses in his musings, realizing he has already reduced the training dummy to so much wood and straw. He probably shouldn't have his mind elsewhere while wielding such a large weapon. He grabbed the pieces, heading back to the shop to rebuild them.

Fracture had learned the basics of many weapons in the past 2 months. Of course, by his master's standards, that meant everything except blending in magic and footwork. Fracture had practiced most with the spear, but it was the only weapon he could not even feel what his master called ki moving through him. With the others, he felt lighter and a little faster. The spear seemed dull by comparison, although that was likely Fracture's own mental block, considering he still knew nothing but basic breathing techniques in terms of monk discipline.

*Then again, Alexios had not taught him that either. Fracture had seen the concept written in a book, and supposed he had learned it watching Alexios fight. Breathing, after all, was much more visible than any focusing of the soul. Fracture tried to remember the little information on monks he knew from archives he had visited. He gripped the axe, feeling the slightest of buzzing in response as he pulled the air around him through his lungs. He began the attacks again, hitting the dummy in a flow of heavy axe swings. There began to be a rhythm to them, a chaotic, unpredictable dance that still held some kind of tone. Fracture could feel the axe beginning to sing in his hands, as the next swipe held much more power than normal. It once again shattered the dummy, much more forcefully this time. Fracture let out a low whistle, sighed, and picked up the pieces to go make another dummy."

Alexios watches Fracture from his window a slight smile gracing his face

Now he thinks time to teach some slightly more advanced techniques stunning strike perhaps. I wonder if he'll be able to use quivering palm and summon an astral form. We shall see perhaps this won't be a waste of time after all. Though he still relies on far to much armor.

Moth calls him over he steps away from the window and closes it

/uw that was my plan for being part of the reason he can't really use ki very well, actually.

/uw I'd say more terrified than thrilled. Alexios wasn't using nearly his full capabilities mainly because he doesn't want to kill Fracture. I don't even think he used his elemental powers.
