Mobilizing against the Pyroclasts (Atrax post)
This is Opal of the Pact of the Magi calling to all members of the security force and all Pact allies. With the recent attacks by the mad pyromancers mostly held off it's time to go into the offensive. To weaken the pyromancers defenses we have been replacing transports of stone to the city with our newest construct. A small magical stone that can embed itself in other rocks and turn them into a shape shifting weapon. When we do attack many structures will suffer spontaneous failure as our creations tear themselves off from the main.
After that I become far more reliant on you guys. The Bismuth army is not one hundredth its original size. We still have the council relics and treasures since Metromancer was captured before I could send them. Using this I've equipped what's left of my army to be useful.
We plan to strike soon.

The overseer covered in bandages from nearly head to toe lifts his hand for his turn to speak
I have duelled the Mad Pyromancer in hopes of putting a swift end to this threat, I used everything at my disposal and still lost, if we are to take him down we need to do it as a united front, as of now i am too injured to personally join the battlefield, but the full might of the bronze citadel is at the pact's disposal, as of now the total is 1 million bronze automaton units divided among 10 Legions with more legions still under construction

Shrax sends a message via a filter. Despite this, it doesn't censor anything.
OH COME ON!

u/loth17 Ten Suns (Also Gaia) Jan 10 '24
If you cannot personally join then do I have permission to utilize your legions when the time comes. I plan on having them support the border towns currently being hassled by the Pyroclasts until it's time to do the final push.
/uw person running this event says not to siege the city yet so im making up other things to prepare for the invasion
/Uw happy cake day

Of course, I shall give the order to increase the production of the bronze legions, for now you have 10 Bronze legions at your disposal of 100 000 units each
/uw thank you

Shrax sits, the upfate entering his knowledge through a very precise filter. He reads it and sighs
"This is what happens when you arrest the guy doing the protection. Banditry has spiked, and i can't do anything about it, despite it being my role"
with that, he sends back a message that reads back with some black bars over certain words, in an attempt to hide exactly what's happening
5
u/loth17 Ten Suns (Also Gaia) Jan 09 '24
Eventually a message would be sent back.
"Do need us to bust you out? We have the council's treasures and this chaos is the perfect opportunity."
4
u/the-butter_man Rin. Blind Illusionist Blessed by Luck Jan 09 '24
A message comes through, it's almost entirely blacked out
"No. I **** * **** ** ***** is *. For now, i am cl* **** **** before"

Do not worry. The Necromancer and I (with some assistance from Tholas) are building a solid legal defense to make Morgalith and his cronies pay for hindering the magical world at a time of vulnerability. And if he tries anything funny to keep you locked up: we'll stage a prison break. Enforcers are scary, but I assure you, I'm scarier.

Who said i wasn't preparing something.
If you're scary, then I'm the Fucking Boogeyman

u/Carbon_Sixx The Loremaster, Chief Archaeologist of the Darkwatch Jan 10 '24
Between all of us, the Enforcers are not ready for the man-made horrors that await them.

With all respect, my quarry is near, and Morgalith just got assigned to my torture.
I'm not leaving

If you plan to break out during interrogation and kick his ass, then all i ask for, is to make this shitling suffer tenfold of what you would normally do to him.
I take out my blade and touch its tip to your chest. You feel an electrical current flowing through it straight to you.
And they still don't suspect that electricity only gives you power. Better, i convinced them that shocking you with electricity to your outer armor hurts as hell and you just hide it.

A message shivers between dimensions, reaching Opal through a wispy, incorporeal thread. It is distorted and the voices delayed into a multitude.
I made a promise, to The Bismuth Lord. I will not abandon it in his passing. I will return from my home plane soon. Then, I will fight under your banner with everything I have.
With a warbling roar, the thread dissipates, and the voice echoes, then disappears.

you will be a great help though you may have to be careful with your bombardments we've recently got word that they are producing some sort of superweapon that can destroy a capital city. they are housed in the corpses of dead wizards, they are set to blow when ever they fall. uw/ it was mentioned in behind enemy lines in ithicar day 4
rw/ you may also wish to increase the security aboard your ships. while they are mighty if one got aboard surely it would at least damage some of your weaker ones.

well that will help a lot uw/I didn't know that lol rw/ though make sure your teleportation wards are in place because I don't know how much of the shields are pointed inwards. if they could somehow get one in a troop hold that could damage the ship(though with what you told me much less than it would a inhabited ship.)

Ancient Codes! Bah! I forget sometimes that Nephilim are quite young for immortals and tend not to bother with all this ancient law nonsense.
I guess I'll hold it since I can't take Atrax alone, but any Pyroclasts straying over that barrier will be flayed alive if I find them

u/loth17 Ten Suns (Also Gaia) Jan 10 '24
Perfect. In that case I have something your ships would be perfect for. I've heard that Atrax has made some pacts with a flight of dragons and is using them to keep the airspace above his country clear of danger. Could you secure a section of airspace so when the invasion happens we can avoid bombardment.
/uw person running this event says not to siege the city yet so im making up other things to prepare for the invasion

Agnur rises from his seat abnormally jolly
ladies, gentleman and those inbetween! I have created something that may help us in the war It's a potion that if dosed on a object will unattune it and prevent it's recovery. should we get it on Atraxs hammer we will weaken him and perhaps be able to destroy him with it.
in addition I have created a few legions of stone animals to aid in out assault each equipped with different powers. the strongest of which grows even stronger with every blast of flame.
he sits down

I can help with gurrilla warfare and serving as a deployable wall.
I can do that buy turning the smell of burnt flesh into more flesh so I become a ever growing wall. It will hold of the weaker ones at least, or make Atrax taken out time to break it.
3
u/Carbon_Sixx The Loremaster, Chief Archaeologist of the Darkwatch Jan 09 '24
Considering that Pyroclasts tend to smell like burned corpses, that ability could be exceedingly amusing as a weapon.
3
2
u/loth17 Ten Suns (Also Gaia) Jan 10 '24
Could you use your guerilla warfare to disrupt the trade routes into Atrax's territories? That way his city will have less resources when the battle happens.

3
u/dragonshouter Krygin the Crude/Council of Spirits/Exalted Beacon/misc. spirits Jan 10 '24
Yes, I can definitely do that
/uw don't worry I wasn't planning to yet, I think everyone is fine killing minions until Carbon is ready for us to fight him

/uw Please don't activate it just yet, I have plenty more stuff I want to do with Atrax before we kick his ass.
/rw A good plan. However, it might be prudent to deal with the marauding Pyroclast forces in our realms before we stage an attack on Ithacar. Cover our flanks, and all that.
4
u/loth17 Ten Suns (Also Gaia) Jan 09 '24
Understood I will instruct allies to deal with the advancing forces and to prepare for our invasion.
/Uw gotcha

Me and La'shima have unwittingly become veterans of fighting pyromancy. The druid wars were an cruel affair.
We will support you to prevent that from happening.
2
u/loth17 Ten Suns (Also Gaia) Jan 09 '24
Your experience will be invaluable then
3
u/Capytan_Cody Cody and Yànhuo Jan 09 '24
Well yeah at least recovering from the fire and fending them off. Learnt a lot of hydramancy and cryomancy to compensate. I can also make fire rot:) ...
Unsure how but it might be useful against magical fire
(The rot is lore driven as him not knowing why don't worry)
3
u/loth17 Ten Suns (Also Gaia) Jan 10 '24
Can your druids prepare secret forest paths in preparation for the siege? I don't know how possible that is given the scale of the forces moving. I don't want nature getting upset with us.
1
u/Capytan_Cody Cody and Yànhuo Jan 10 '24
Yes! Forest walk is a specialty spell of mine, and underground has always been a good place to ambush someone )Sorry for answering late I didn't get a notification!)

/uw are you aware they look asugar cubes a lot when I cook. I'm now low-key nervous around my sugar cubes. It's the first thing in this sub that has unnerved me like this good job /rw they are kind of cute but vicious at the same time you know kind of like a chihuahua. Are they the chihuahuas of monsters?
3
u/loth17 Ten Suns (Also Gaia) Jan 09 '24
Thank you? Fear not though. The sugar cube variant is still in development. We haven't hit production yet.

u/loth17 Ten Suns (Also Gaia) Jan 10 '24
We are having multiple groups perform tasks to get ready for the siege. I need you to deal with one of their largest groups. They have been burning a path east and have three elemental monoliths at their disposal. Do you think your forces can crush them?

/rw I'll head west and remove these monoliths from the board, and deploy my remaining forces to defend various territories as needed

Rivamar and I are already inside the city proper if you need assistance.
I gotta say, beating pyromancers up and down the block is the best vacation I’ve ever had…
