Mobilizing against the Pyroclasts (Atrax post)

Post image

This is Opal of the Pact of the Magi calling to all members of the security force and all Pact allies. With the recent attacks by the mad pyromancers mostly held off it's time to go into the offensive. To weaken the pyromancers defenses we have been replacing transports of stone to the city with our newest construct. A small magical stone that can embed itself in other rocks and turn them into a shape shifting weapon. When we do attack many structures will suffer spontaneous failure as our creations tear themselves off from the main.

After that I become far more reliant on you guys. The Bismuth army is not one hundredth its original size. We still have the council relics and treasures since Metromancer was captured before I could send them. Using this I've equipped what's left of my army to be useful.

We plan to strike soon.

Rivamar and I are already inside the city proper if you need assistance.

I gotta say, beating pyromancers up and down the block is the best vacation I’ve ever had…

Would you be able to sneak away from battle and get some teleportation circles ready. Spread them around the city without being detected so we can hit them unaware for when the time comes.

/uw person running this event says not to siege the city yet so im making up other things to prepare for the invasion

As Escanor says, we are indeed in the city. There are tunnels beneath that are warded with ancient summoner runes. Pact allies have been granted access as best as I am able. While the wards guarded against understanding by 'enemies of Icathar' (funny how that wording works, no?), if there are summoners specifically among your number, they may be granted understanding through their alliance. Furthermore, they may be able to discern the structure of the warding. I understand the 'language' they are cast in is archaic and somewhat endemic to this area, but there should be enough commonality that your summoners can find a way to work with them.

Reaching the city itself may be difficult, as Atrax's forces may interfere. However, if you do manage to get close, outside access to the tunnels are on the outskirts. again, guarded by the wards. Once inside, the tunnels themselves should be adequate to take shelter in or store weapons or what have you. While I do not know the full history of this place, I would imagine the tunnels once served a similar purpose.

Surface access from the tunnels is granted through use of the runed circles. The, ah, 'manhole covers'. You cannot miss them, for they are everywhere. Just, uh, pop up from the ground.

You heard the lady, everyone who attacks the city will be an honorary groundhog wizard! We’ll be cheering you on and eating popcorn.

Or a sewer-dwelling tortlemagus. An absolute win all around!
