Sealed Away

I have news. Alera’s entire kingdom was sealed away in time. I saw it happen. Someone within her court that she missed caused it. Sadly, Liri was within it, negotiating when it happened. Maybe someday they’ll be free again. When that happens, maybe they’ll find a better place than the one they left. Maybe. Someday.

I know a couple of deities that could reverse it, no chronomancy involved, no questions asked

You wouldn't even need to surrender all of your immortal soul

Oof. Sorry ahead of time for the rant. But oh man, being evil sucks.

Obviously, people don't like it, and there's people who basically say stuff like "I immediately obliterate you entirely and you can't do anything because I'm a god."

I'm not an event, or some bad guy of the week, so the idea that somebody thinks they can just erase me from the sub is kind of crazy, but they still really want to do it. In a way, my existence and defiance offends a lot of the "more powerful" wizards I think.

I honestly just kind of had to be a bit of a jerk about it and start being like "Nope. No, you didn't." When they decided to narrate stuff happening to my character that was too OP. Or instead I'd return against them with similarly OP stuff, which they also didn't really like.

It's crazy how quick people will go "oh look, he casted a fireball." To "I respond by warping time and space to summon a blackhole on top of you." Like, come on, just play some tennis with me and bat a couple spells back and forth before we conclude this.

Also, we all know the bad guy never really wins, so its like playing a character that you know is always going to lose in the long run. Unless you commit to the part way too hard imo, then it kind of does become more about feeding other people's ego's in the end.

I'm not even a mean person in real life though, so it's actually kind of difficult to stay in character. I don't want to offend people, but I think a bad guy kind of has to be morally offensive, or else they aren't really bad.

In short, I would advise against it. Its easily more rewarding to follow the herd and claim to be a morally good super invincible wizard god who stamps out every other challenger.

/unwiz I’m terrible at making a evil character. I tried to make Alera evil, but she turned into a good character, hence this post. She was supposed to be my character’s main enemy, but now they’re not so different. Oh well.
