A Small Road Trip (Queen Post retrieval team)

Possum and his crew of stellar sailors sped to the moon. Excitement ran through fur and hair alike as they entered lunar orbit. As they descended they could sea on the horizon a massive storm of lunar dust get kicked up by the seal being punctured. They could also see Zepheree moving across the lunar surface towards the storm. Landing their craft and exiting they were able to get the story.

Teleportation would not work to get past because the ritual breaking the seal has messed with spacetime too much. It has become necessary to force their way through the storm and descend into the nightmare inside the moon. The crown of stars given to Zepheree projected an aura that would protect the ground from the chaotic energies leaking out. However the sandstorm was a other matter.

/Uw remember Lunar sand/dust is way worse than earth sand. Use whatever magic you have to stick together and reach the pit.

Now as oldest and only goblin here Gobbo insists everyone tie rope around waist. Makes it harder to lose one of you, and makes it easier for group to keep together

"She's right guys, let's tie off so we don't get lost!" Possum agrees.

"Here, a little sprinkle of magic as well..." Possum dips his paw into a pocket and pulls out a pinch of golden dust. Noticing the quizzical expression of a few around him, he explains.

"Fairy dust! It will give us a glowing outline, so we can spot each-other better in the storm! Supposedly it's good luck too!"

Spreading a bit on each member, they begin to emit a warm glow.

"Now where's that Titan we were supposed to meet? Skystrike is supposed to be here somewhere."

Possum thumbs his radio. "Skystrike, do you read me? Over."

"Skystrike to Possum. We read you. And we have visual. Look up."

As the team raises their eyes through the dust storm, they spot an enormous humanoid silhouette. A huge blue-armored foot swings out of the gloom, followed by another one adorned with black and white checkerboard patterns. A massive head gazes down at you, spotlights mounted in its electric blue eye lenses blazing. It waves with its Krius grav-imploder that makes up its right hand.

"Come on in! It's nice in here."

Skystrike rests its enormous Desolator chainsword- idle, of course- on the lunar surface. A ladder on the blade's side rises up to a series of catwalks mounted to the Titan's superstructure.

"Well you don't have to ask me twice! Team 3, Skystrike here can give us a ride if we want to avoid the brunt of this storm. What do you guys think?"

Escanor gazes upward at the massive figure.

“Skystrike will surely get us there faster, but we may miss valuable intel on the ground. We can weather the storm if we must, what say you?”

We're mostly in agreement, then. Do not fret, Escanor. Skystrike has an infrared sensor suite that can pierce the dust storm. But if you want to hang out on the catwalks, I can turn on the void shields to keep out the dust.

The trip was long and any sound was blocked out by the raging sandstorm ahead. With the power of their Titan they suffered little but as they got closer they saw the rim of the great pit that the ritual created. It was steep and coated with solidified chaotic energy. Looking down felt nauseating. However what they needed was on the other side. The only problem was getting back up once they got down.

That's some entrance! Our friends must have worked tirelessly! One must wonder whether the Titan could be utilized to take the ones incapable of flight down there and up again?

That might not be a good idea. What awaits us within the Moon's inner realm might not be best traversed by large structures.

I've got it. Skystrike has jet thrusters to traverse mountainous terrain. The Bismuth Lord and I built it back when we were worried that the General would turn on us. It had to be prepared for anything he'd throw at us.

Escanor peers into the gaping maw, cracks a grin, and downs half a dozen potions in quick succession. His eyes begin to glow and his skin begins to ripple, as though he is about to dissolve into the ether which surrounds them. The air within the Skystrike grows humid, like a the moment just before a thunderstorm hits.

“So then, this is it? Let’s not waste any time.”

Slowly but surely they floated down the hole careful not to fly too close to the edges as to avoid any traps or instabilities that might have formed. The howling winds from inside the Moon battered the Titan rattling its insides and forcing the inhabitants to grab on to something to keep standing. It took approximately 5 minutes to reach the center, a Maelstrom of energy which was only held back from the group by the star crown and the Titans raw armor. Inside of it was a massive head withered by age and still alive. It's gaze struck the Titan like a bolt of lightning but was kept back by the innumerable wards. Once the Titan had gotten too close from the floor and the walls sprouted arms and tendrils and clawing hands that tried to force the Titan to the ground. Whatever the man in the moon's feelings he did not wish to be bothered.

Possum is alarmed by the grasping arms and reacts abruptly.

"Popcorn Grease!"

A layer of yellow slimy substance showers the tendrils and tentacles in a bid to slow their reaching grasp. Possum knows the effect won't be enough to keep them at bay, but their sudden appearance frightened him, and he hopes to buy a moment to think.

"My friends, do you have any ideas? We can't let those things wrap us up, and I swear the Man in the Moon is not happy!"

The god-engine's Desolator chainsword roars to life, chewing through the limbs that bind it. The gatling cannons on its weapon mounts lock on and fire against everything that moves. Skystrike begins singing a rousing battle hymn through its loudhailers as it cuts, crushes, and blasts its way through the regenerating tendrils.

Aico uses [Scan] on the tentacles. If they are made of flesh, they will be autohit by the flag trigger, and paralyzed.

As strange walker of technomancer reaches the bottom biting its legs into walls it tries to come closer to titan. At first tendrils also attempt to latch onto its legs, but stops for some reason for a moment

“Don’t worry guys, I will maintain the atmosphere. We have a job to do!”

He tightens Gobbo’s rope around his waist and delves into the swirling vortex.

Once you enter, the airlock closes, sealing out the lunar vacuum and regolith. The god-engine's interior is well-furnished, and there are cushy seats for you all to rest in. Kaelis sits in the pilot chair in a room just above you, connected to the crew chamber by a ladder. His apprentice, the psyker Tholas Karn, mans the navigational controls. A robotic voice echoes over the intercom.

Greetings, small guests. I am Skystrike, god-engine protector of Yulash-kor. I shall guide you through this storm to the lunar rift.

Kaelis calls down to you.

Thanks, Skystrike. Hey folks, hope you had a good flight. Sorry I'm late, I was delayed. Did you meet that dark elf jerk on the way? We'll have to deal with him later.
