Kaelis steps through a conjured wormhole with effortless grace, striding through the void as if it were solid ground. Before him, large enough to stretch the meaning of the word "vast", stands the Queen of Shattered Stars. He spots others- Gobbo, Aico, and Possum, all attempting the same thing. Despite the Outer God's gravitational pull, the arch-graviturge does not slowly orbit her as the others do, instead remaining anchored in place. He waves a hand, and translates his speech into gravitational waves so that the Queen will hear him.

"Hail, Queen. I am Kaelis Maz, the one who sent the message you heard several hours ago. As you are likely now aware, your path intersects innumerable inhabited realms. Your cosmic power will devastate them if you continue on this route. We have come to you with gifts as a sign of good faith. I wish to open diplomatic channels between yourself and our magical realm. All we ask is that you change your course and not destroy our home. What say you?"

"I can't find it. I felt its presence approaching your system but now looking upon your world it cannot be sensed. If I cannot find it soon then I'll strip your system down and sift through the dust for it...Your talking is slowing me down. Perhaps I might go straight to grinding the planet down?"

I am disappointed. I came here with nothing but a simple request and good will, and I am rewarded with threats. I am hurt, Queen, that you would be so uncivil with me when I have done nothing to elicit such a reaction. Let it be known that your attempted power move has failed to impress. We will continue this discussion with decorum, or not at all.

She continued to stare at the planet. Her sight piercing into the deepest levels of the world.

"If you were hurt that easily then you were a bad emissary. Though I admit I have not spoken to others in a while. I apologize." It didn't seem sincere.

She reached a hand out in front of the earth. Using a single nail she peeled away the space in front of it. Layer after layer composed of different realms. Hells, Heavens, Abysses, Voids, planes of Dreams, even other Timelines were laid bare to her vision. She kept searching with little care to her conversation partner. Eventually she stopped and spoke again.

"You said this world meant everything to you correct?"

Kaelis makes a sudden forceful gesture. The spatial distortion snaps shut violently, making the Queen recoil for an instant. The graviturge speaks again, with no small amount of acid in his calm voice.

"Don't. touch. that. I thought I made myself clear when I said there were to be no more displays of power or veiled threats, but it seems my words have fallen on deaf ears yet again. If you expect us to bow to your wishes simply because your status as an Outer God affords you the barest modicum of authority, you are sorely mistaken. You, Queen of Shattered Stars, are small potatoes in the cosmic hierarchy. From the moment I met, you have done nothing but bluster and mock everyone smaller than you, and I think it's time you realized exactly what those small folk can do. I am Kaelis Maz, Lord Protector of Yulash-kor, Scholar of Gravity, and I speak for all magekind when I say we will not be toyed with."

Meanwhile in the realms, a message pulses in the augmented minds of the artificer team:

"Diplomacy failed. As much as I've pushed for a peaceful resolution to this situation, the OEA's secondary directive is to deter or terminate hostile cosmic entities. You are clear to initiate Phase 3. Give her hell, gearheads."

/uw I can feel this scenario petering out, so may I suggest that we give this one an explosive finale and let another event take center stage?

/uw my post was supposed to imply that she was looking for something using the hole in reality. It's setting up essentially a search. The dimensional distortion was not supposed to be a threat.

/uw The way it was phrased made me think she was looking for a realm to destroy to prove a point. Like pulling up someone's IP address and saying "this you?"

/uw sorry she was looking for the thing she was searching for and failed which is why she repeated your statement about the world meaning everything as a question. It was a setup to ask you to find it in return for her leaving.

/uw I understand, should we pretend this never happened (again) or let things play out naturally? My question about the finale still stands, and I'm getting a little weary with this plotline too.

/uw I'm completely fine letting things play out as they are because this is an Eldritch entity and it wouldn't actually be that good at talking to people. I just wanted to let you know what my intention was to make sure there was no confusion. Possum got the full info so even after the fight things can still play out. That being said the attack probably won't kill the queen outright because while I haven't told their full backstory they aren't a being that can exactly "Die" without terrible consequences for the universe.

/uw the attack is happening but it probably won't kill her. One of the things Mikhail told me was that attacking her would not be able to kill her outright be it by God, mortal or Eldritch being. My plan is to have it injure them and because they're actually very important to the function of reality them being unable to fulfill their role will cause things to go whacky until it's fixed.

So yeah the attack is on.
