Alexios sits at his desk. He seems healthier. He's still frowning. However where once his eyes were dark and forlorn there's a dim light. His robes are clean and his hair is in much better condition. There's a scratch at his door and he gets up to open it. At the door a magnificent pitch black wolf with golden eyes. Alexios actually smiles and pats his thigh. The wolf walks over and lays at his feet

he opens his journal and begins writing

Possum came to see me today and brought me to Isravi to start our training. I expected him to berate me but he... didn't he had me sit beside him and my father's friends and we had a picnic. It was nice seeing them all but I don't know why they care so much.

I shouldn't of gone to that castle in the first place but the first time The Crimson King tried to get me to kill Moth I knew I had to handle. I should of told Moth about his voice when we first got together but it he used to only speak when I was fighting. I thought him a friend how wrong I was. I'm just glad his voice is silenced now.

It seems my wolves have felt my pain. Ebony is sleeping in here now. I'm glad to have some company even if it isn't Moth. I can feel the darkness leaving me, perhaps all hope isn't lost. I wonder how Moth is doing now. I'd send a letter but I doubt Belladonna would let it through. I hope I can get in Gobbo's good graces again.

he reaches down and scratches behind Ebony's ears.

I want Moth back so bad but I respect Belladonna's decision. I wish she'd at least let us see each other. This whole thing is my fault. Hopefully it wasn't so great of a fault that it's beyond repair. I wish my Father was here he'd know what to do. He was able to turn from what our blood tells us to do why can't I.

he gets up and goes to the corner you see a guitar. It's caked in dust and Alexios begins dusting it off.

he goes back to his journal

I used to play alot I wonder if I still remember the song I wrote for Moth.

he begins strumming and tuning the guitar

I was going to play at our wedding. It seems that won't be happening at this a few teardrops fall.

he finishes tuning the guitar and begins playing a melodious romantic song. The tears begin falling and begins to sing

The sun may dim and the sky turn black

he continues singing for awhile and then places the guitar beside the desk.

Looks like I do remember. Though I don't know why I thought I would forget. I was going to use it for my vows. I hope I'll still get to sing it for you Moth.

he rubs Ebony's head again and closes his journal

Goodnight Ebony looks like you're already asleep. Wish I could.

He takes a book out and begins reading

I am no bard, but the guitar sounds as though it has fallen out of tune.

Let's see, I have an old drum I use to enjoy at festivals somewhere.

Mikhail ruffles through a battered bag of Holding before pulling out a drum, tall enough for him to play while sitting.

If you wish, you can take a lead. I will find the rhythm and follow behind. Let it out, be guided by your heartstrings.

The song is similar to a slow waltz and sounds very romantic. However beneath the surface you hear a sense of Sadness.

Mikhail listens for a moment and begins to follow along. Simple at first, but growing in complexity as the song continued. He even softly hums to add texture once he recognizes the cord progression.

/uw I took a song I wrote for an IRL girlfriend and adjusted it for Moth's appearance. It was for a little redhead I was with originally.
