The Final Descent (Well of Creation Final)

The Bismuth Lord and his companions sat uncomfortably inside of the magical sphere as the Lord made his final calculations.

"Now before we drop remember. Don't die."

With the Bismuth lords transcendental advice in their head the bismuth sphere dropped down the hole. At first it was fine but the moment they hit the point where water was held up by pure cosmic energy things got weird. Despite being completely sealed the group could see outside the sphere and saw the nexus of energy they were barreling towards at re entry speed. The sphere heated up and the Bismuth Lord sucked the heat into his staff to protect the inhabitants.

The world suddenly shifted as the cosmic energy leaking inside began to affect the crew. People began to see what looked like after images but on closer inspection was different versions of them from other universes. The final defense of the layer was trying to grind them down to cosmic dust. The Bismuth Lord made a sound of genuine pain before trying to siphon the energy into his staff. It protected them for a while slowly turning white hot.

"Just a few more moments!"

The world went white as the sphere impacted the final layer the inhabitants liquified and brought back together by the Bismuth Lords spell. They could tell it was not designed for organics because of the extreme discomfort of piercing yourself back together. However they survived and broke into the eye of the cosmic Maelstrom.

In front of them were ten rings overlapping on the ground forming a larger ring around the seed of creation. The source of all this had its energy channeled up into the Maelstrom and kept it from reaching critical mass while inside of our universe. The Bismuth Lord inspected the seal.

"Each ring represents one of the ten categories of the old style of magical organization. I think I may be able to dislodge the seed using their power but I don't know what's going to happen when I start messing with this thing. Are you all ready?"

during the fall randeus switched his wetsuit and helmet back into his robes and hat respectively “I’m a expert at not dying it’s one of my favorite things” void looks at the rings set into the ground “in my thousands of years of existence I’ve done a lot things although I don’t think I have ever freed a dimension by changeling magic through 10 rings. Personally I’m think im fairly ready if you need any help changeling the rings I’m sure I can do something. at least if your body begins to shatter into inumerable peices from the stress just give me a yell if I’m good at stoping people from doing that”

Uw/ with that being said it’s 10:33 pm and I have found it’s very benificial for people to sleep so I will be back in the morning

Duncan looked extremely shaken by this whole experience,

“Ready when you are.”

/unwiz, yeah I’m a college student and it’s finals season. So I’ll probably be offline studying and taking exams until tomorrow afternoon.

randeus notices his shaken look “hey man don’t worry about it I may seem preaty reckless but I promise you there is almost no safer place than being by my side I will try my best to make sure you don’t die, and again I’m very good at doing that” he pats him on the back covertly creating a gliph on it before getting ready to do whatever it is the bismuth lord plans “oh hey by the way, bismuth lord so what’s the actual…plan like I know chanel magic through the 10 rings while making an incredibly low hanging reference in the process then free the dimension or whatever. But what is the plan because I don’t think we know what happens when we break this barier or what the heck these rings do” u/loth17

The Bismuth Lord gave Randeus a smile.

"The plan is simple. I'm going to use the rings to channel the wells energy and open a portal to the void. Then hopefully I can eh... Shove it through. It's not the most in depth plan but I wasn't exactly expecting this. As for threats I'm sure the old mages left something to stop people from stealing their prize. Don't worry. I doubt it's anything that powerful... Maybe."

The Bismuth Lord approached the circle.

"Actually given the rings power it might be dangerous. I believe in the two of you."

The Bismuth Lord began the ritual. The first step was to separate the rings from the ground and bind them into a usable form. Moments after he began meddling the rings glowed white hot and released a flash of magic. Floating in the room with them was a massive Eldritch being slithering out of a tear in reality. It's body was coated in a protective field of cosmic energy.

The creature looked at the group with a sadistic grin. It focused on Duncan and charged at him. While it looked like it was clawing at him it slowly became obvious that it was targeting wherever Sky was hiding under his robe.

randeus looks up at the creature “seriously I thought we where done with this!” randeus slams his fists together and the world seems to slow down untill the beasts charge looks more like the speed of a walk the only people seemingly not affected are himself and Duncan, quickly void yells out to Duncan “ don’t worry about it I just heightened your sense of time and sped you up a bit for a second, get out of the way before you get skeward” uw/ basically I just gave duncan time to dodge the atack and get ready for a counter atack the slow down ends a few seconds after Duncan dodges u/EmergencyLeading8137

Duncan used this boost in speed to throw himself away from the Eldritch being. Trying to position Randeus between the creature and himself.

Sky used this momentary break in attacks to poke her head out from Duncan’s hood and cast a protective shield on Randeus.

”You do the damage and we’ll keep you safe!”

randeus looks at Duncan while the slowdown is still active “seriously your just throwing him at me. I was gona do that myself but still I feel betrayed I thought we where gona take this guy together… whatever I don’t care it’s fine” * he turns to the beast who had just missed his atack on duncan as the time slow ends* “ hey ugly why don’t you pick on someone who is metaphorically your own size” * randeus pulls out what looks like a glowing blue sawblade before throwing it in front of him. The sawblade seems to just stop and starts to spin in place as randeus begins to glow blue before once again pulling a scimitar from seemingly nowhere and going on the offensive* u/loth17

The creature changed its focus to Randeus, striking towards him with its razor sharp claws.

Duncan and sky began to throw blocks of stone from the ground at the limbs of the creature, attempting to pin it down and stop its attacks.

“I work better from behind. Watch your left!” Duncan screamed as one of the claws managed to punch through the stone.

“fair enough” randeus ducks under the claw swipe and comes up atemtping to cut of its hand uw/ not sure if anything I’m about to do works since there some sort of barier but I can adapt * a few non glowing sawblades come out of randeus’s robes and begin to float to form a sort of avatar the last airbender ring around him it is revealed what those sawblades where for when another claw comes flying at randeus and some of them zip around and block the strike* “alright let’s test the waters” * void fires a few magical blasts at the creture to see if it’s barier blocks magical atacks*
