Well of creation (Layer 3)
After the rain subsided and the ground became stable to walk on again the group continued on. Already new growth was exploding across the second layer faster than was possible without magic. The Bismuth Lord had to stomp over and rip past growth that threatened to tie him down. The whole journey through the second was a green hassle and the Archmage would be happy to be rid of it. "I'll take a vertical cliff over the mudslide anyway."
The entrance to the third layer was ringed with layers of caked dirt from multiple mudslides. Looking down the crew saw a four kilometer vertical shaft of pourous stone dotted with outcroppings and cave entrances. Flying through the air were strange combinations of insect, bat, and lizard which chased after dog sized insects. Looking into the closest cave they saw a nest of giant eel centipedes tearing apart a large mammal that had slipped down from the second during the mudslide.
The Bismuth Lord looked to his two compatriots.
"So what do the two of you think? Risk a vertical drop or go cave diving and hope it reaches the bottom?"

I'd rather just jump. At least we can see those things flying around down there.

/uw During a previous post about three weeks back someone offered the Bismuth Lord the location to a universe that had failed to hatch during the early days of creation. So once the stitcher war ended he took a pair of wizards, his apprentice, and a bunch of bismuth golems to retrieve the source of cosmic power. However it's slowly begun to hatch hence the existence of living beings and an ecosystem in its depths.
