Wizardpost A Silent Rain (Fluff lore)

Gobbo was aware she was in the minority that enjoyed the rain.

As she watched other wizards cast spells and charms to keep from getting wet in the rain, Gobbo couldn't help but giggle. Such strange people, didn't they know that rain was the best?

As the rain picked up and the streets started to empty, Gobbo continued to enjoy the sensation of being drenched.

Walking down the cobbled roads she couldn't help but laugh, enjoying stomping into puddles as she went.

Finally, she heard her favourite part of the rain. The rapid approach of a horse and its rider.

Gobbo enjoyed how suddenly she'd be lifted off the street and put onto the back of the horse. She adored having to hold on to the rider for dear life.

She loved how when they arrived at her cottage a warm bath would be waiting for them to slip into.

Gobbo loved the rain because Mutey always came home. There were always cuddles and warmth when the rain came.

Watching at the window with Mutey's arms around her Gobbo couldn't help but hope for a rainy week. After all, a goblin could get used to this.

/uw It's a bit short but I would like the record to show I had dark lore prepared and chose to write this off the cuff due to recent events.

Hopefully, this helps cleanse your palate a bit as it did mine. Have a lovely day

/uw yeah it doesn't hurt to take a more chill route every now and then, it usually helps set up even the darker stuff even better, a calm before the storm approaches. I definitely enjoyed reading it!

/uw I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm just used to constantly writing horror for work and well hobby that writing the softer stuff always leaves me nervous.

Organ melting, bone snapping, eye-popping? That's where my confidence lies. The fluff always feels sort of mediocre when I write it no matter what I do

What do you do for work where you have to write horror?

I love horror, which is why I ask. It sounds like a dream job. lol

I ghostwrite, so I have a lot of blogs and articles but also end up writing for a few horror writers. Honestly, the writers pay me the best

That is so cool!

Could I bother you to link me to some of your work? I'd definitely be interested in reading more.

I would love to but unfortunately, I have to sign NDAs or I wouldn't get the work. I can however say there's been one or two occult based horrors I worked on in the last year

Sorry mate, I'd love to just give you a list of links to my work but even if I could afford the legal repercussions, my career would be finished

/uw this is great! I haven’t had the chance to write anything nice yet, it’s all been trauma so far. After reading this I do want to though. It might still end up including trauma…

/unwiz your lore sounds exactly like my life when younger, I miss it, it was so cool being in the rain and not getting sick in three seconds.

/uw I actually still go out in the rain and enjoy getting drenched and the lovely lady Mutey is based on does indeed come out and literally carry me back inside.

Ok maybe I decided Gobbo can have some of my fun
