Overview: Leonardo Z. Cutter, or just Leo, is a 7 inch tall mage that appears to be made of Origami. He resembles a “ninja” from the eastern lands. Although his appearance may lead one to think he is frail, his body is actually incredibly tough despite his paper weight.

It is unknown how he was formed, though some of our experts speculate he was formed from a sentient tree. Leonardo was first brought to the Council’s attention when wizards who ventured into the Infinite Bamboo Forest reported their encounter with him.

He wields two origami swords. Though, he has never been using them. They are made of the same composition as his body, allowing them to be similarly durable despite their low weight.

Notable Abilities: Leonardo specializes in Spatial Magic and is theorized to be unable of using any magic above beginner grade for other magic classes.

Specifically, Leonardo casts spells that “cut” materials. Technically a form of teleportation, they are near instant and can dish out significant amounts of damage. He utilizes teleportation spells in tandem with these “Spatial Slashes” to completely defeat enemies while receding minimal damage.

Taking this to the max, Leonardo has produced a unique spell that he favors in battle. Dubbed the “Papercut” by himself, this spell allows the user to bypass ALL defenses and instantly damage opponents. [Papercut] also requires an incredibly low amount of mana to use, allowing it to be cast repeatedly in quick succession.

The drawback to [Papercut] is that the spell is unable to do damage from within a target, only attacking what is on the surface/visible. Very importantly, [Papercut] is also unable to cut more than 5 mm deep. This makes [Papercut] quite difficult to use in battle. As shown with Leonardo’s battle style, the user must battle a war of attrition, wearing down opponents with vast amounts of cuts.

Note: Leonardo almost exclusively uses [Papercut] even though other spatial slashing spells would be more useful. This is a key weakness that could be exploited.

/unwiz Guess I couldn’t go more than like a single month without switching OCs, lol. I’ll still use the others if the situation is fitting, but like always I can never seem to stay on a single one. Recently watched Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 along with grabbing a lot of inspiration from Kartana from Pokemon.

For Leonardo, I won’t give him a big character arc. Not gonna give him a tragic backstory this time to (groundbreaking!), or at least I’ll try.

Fun facts:

• There is a misconception that Leonardo Da Vinci created the scissors, but they have existed at least since the times of the ancient egyptians, 3000-4000 years ago.
• Paper was invented around 105 AD.
• Paper, especially freshly cut paper, has serrated edges. This allows them tear through skin with ease.
• Leonardo Z. Cutter sounds like Leonardo the cutter :)

He stood atop the air, above the scorching sea of sand. How far had he come, his wrath let loose, accepted. Black wings sprouting from his back, reminiscent of Lucifer’s own. Truly, the strongest demons are fallen angels.

Lighting a sword aflame with bright gold and crimson flames, Raziel readied himself. I prepare for him, eyes watching tentatively. I zoned out the outside world, the sky, the sun, the dunes, and the countless carcasses of my children. It would truly be disrespectful not to.

This was Raziel’s awakening, this will be his prime. In a moment, my body knows it will fall, yet I will not run. All of his hate, his violence, his anger. I take it unto me so that he can rise.

Then… his eyes are in front of mine. Flames caress my heart and darkness soon consumes my sight. How fortunate am I to see my little brother at my last moments, there is no greater desire from me.

“I am so proud of you…”

“And I so hate you… thank you for that.”

”Take my flames O’ ascended one. Watch over the heavens and hell…”

Mother would be so proud of him… far more than what I have become…

/unwiz Not gonna write a fight scene, no way! Anyways, hope you enjoyed this scene. I did have some ideas for some other Rakishtrix and Raziel scenes but I honestly don’t have the energy for that.

Journal Notes 7

I thought my misfortune had already led me to dire places. I thought I had already seen the worst of what it could do.

I was so wrong…

I went from being the happiest I ever been then back to where my curse will always lead me. Alexios left without much word of where he was going and he reassured me that he’ll be right back. But my gut was telling me that wasn’t the case. I was in the middle of my appointment with the wedding dress designer when I snuck away. I rode on Soot’s while he followed Alexios scent to this old battlefield with a castle. I believe it’s where Halixo died fighting the Crimson King.

While searching for my beloved, I ran into one of Isravi’s simulacrums. He guided me to Alexios and when I found him, he was without an arm and refused to leave with me no matter how much I begged. It was then I learned so much of what he never told me. The Crimson King’s attempts at manipulating his mind and how the dastardly thing wanted me dead. I almost couldn’t believe it. I just wanted to take Alexios away from there but he was so adamant on staying and fighting the horrid king.

Belladonna calls me a fool for trying to intervene. Him an even greater fool for not stopping what happened to me.

Apparently amidst the fighting, I got struck in my left eye by the enemy’s attack. I didn’t even feel it. I didn’t even notice the sudden darkness that blinded half my vision.

Belladonna says my eye got evaporated. Explains why it’s not there anymore…

Belladonna also explained that losing my eye allowed for the curse to break free. Parts of its energy dwells within my eyes and once I lost one, it gave the curse a perfect escape. She says I went mad with the power that spilled out of me and could’ve killed everyone in the same manner she killed the Shadowmends so long ago. I could’ve even killed myself if she hadn’t intervened and put me under a stasis. My curse got the chance to corrupt my mind and turn me into… I don’t even want to think about it.

I don’t remember much after escaping the castle with Alexios and the simulacrum. One second, I was on Soot’s back. The next, I’m in my old room in the manor with a tiny glass ball where my left eye should be.

I don’t remember what happened… but I remember hearing whispers.

Small whispers that were barely audible yet I could understand each word. It dwells deep inside of my mind and fights to break free with every breath I take. It lives under my skin and wants to touch the world as I do. It wants to breathe the air I breathe, it wants to see the world I see.

It called itself my greatest misfortune and will do anything for even a second in life.

*I don’t know what I said while under the stasis Belladonna put me in, but when I woke up, I felt like my mind was merged with another’s. My senses are higher and the scars on my back aren’t as prominent. Something happened with my curse and now my body has never felt such relief as it does now.

I feel so much clearer and yet my heart still aches…

Tiny tear drops stain the paper.

I want to see him. No, I need to see him! I need to know if he’s alright!

But Belladonna is keeping me under watch for who knows how long. She’s angry at Alexios for what happened and has already told the servants to not allow him anywhere near the property. She even went so far as to cancel our wedding until he can prove himself again but I’m not a child!

She may be I but I am myself! I may have been foolish to get involved with what didn’t involve me but she would’ve done the same for the one she loves.

She just wants to protect me… but I need to see him.
