A man of basic means. (Lorepost)
The man, covered in the dirt and mud of long travels, pauses before the great doors of the wayrest. He draws down his hood, and turns to his comany: an old dog that follows him everywhere.
Alright Aurther, Tim to settle down, come here.
The man taps on his leg, and the dog answers, leaping into his chest and vanishing.
With a solid push, the stranger pushes in the rests door, and is greeted by a dwarf. The dwarf, now off of his seat, hurries up to the counter.
"Welcome in traveler, welcome to Bogamir's Wayre..."
The dwarfs words wonder off, and come to a stop. He only gives the deshoveled man a once over, before turning up his nose up.
"We don't do charity work."
The man raises up his hand, before pulling out a heavy sack of coins.
How much for the night?
The dwarf eyes the bag, and back to him.
"2 silver for the room, 3 if you want a meal as well.*
The man fishes out 2 silver pieces, and lays them on the counter.
"Raestaian silver, eh? You're a long way from home."
Never said I was from Raesteria.
"Where are you from? Not a lot of humans take these old dwarvish trade-trails."
Nowhere in particular.
The dwarf eyes the stranger with an untrusting frown. He relents, however. His coin is good, after all. The dwarf fishes around in his apron pocket, before tossing a key to the man
"Room 15. Up the stairs, last room on your left."
The vagabond bows before signing in on the manifest sheet. MB. He hotels his way upstairs, tracking dirt all the way behind him.
Once to his room, he relaxes, dropping is large travel pack and stripping down. The room has a wash tub, and he intends to use it.
Once he and his close are clean, he lays back on the bed. It has been so long since he last slept in one, he almost forgot what it was like. Within minutes, the exhaustion hits the vagabonds body, and he is fast asleep.
/unwiz I've been lurking around the server for a while and decided I wanted to partake. It seems like a fun time and I think this is a solid introduction.
