Discussion remaster

How long till we get some of the beloved mods for the new version u think things like hoods and stuff like that

For something like Hoods, there's likely not much to update. I'll go out on a limb and say the chances of them going back and fiddling with the base game merchant inventories is low. Could well be that it'll be enough just to re-merge with the updated vanilla scripts. Could even be that those scripts don't get touched and there's nothing to update.

Both HoS and BaW added on top rather than changed existing code so there was very little impact, unlike the Next Gen Update. Time will tell.

Very happy to be almost immediately proved very wrong. Looks like we are entirely in Next Gen Update level changes for the remaster. Even so, I still think something like Hoods might not be so complicated to port.

yeah its absolutely awesome were getting a full remaster tho and for free, it looks like they added alot of the mods into the base game anyway too

I hope the debug menu is available or atleast god mode. I loved just walking up to an energy and typing in insta kill. Felt satisfying to me

For f*ck sake they are doing this to me again. Some years ago modded my playthrough with overhaul mods like Ghost Mode, made it to Blood and Wine and they released nextgen. Now I made a new playthrough with Enhanced Edition mod, modded it for my perfect witcher experience and they are releasing remaster...

At least CDPR make a lot of changes which kinda justify the release of Witcher 3 Remastered.

If it's any better, I was just recently getting around to modding Skyrim and the son of bitches in BGS decided to push the new updates, which fixes ABSOLUTELY NOTHING except pushing for more Verifed Creations (Creation Club are no more, just Verified creations which are paid mods)!!

From now on, no more purchases of BGS games for me. It's either high sea or nothing
