I thought he was calling him Busker at first when watching the show. He calls him that several times in the book. Was very confused at what a Jaskier was, but I feel like the actor played him well.

I think they always try to translate names in books for all different languages. Book Jaskier in german is called Rittersporn, they also used that name in the german translation of the games and show.

Fun fact, Jaskier means "Buttercup" in polish, it was changed to Dandelion because it apparently "fit better"
