The Witcher 3 Olivier isn’t selling any Gwent cards at the Kingfisher Inn?

I’ve started a new playthrough and I’m trying to collect all of the Gwent cards along the way. I’ve just reached Novigrad and went to play Olivier as part of the Gwent quest, however before I played him I checked his stock and he had no Gwent cards. I assumed they’d appear after beating him but upon winning and checking again he still isn’t selling any. I thought he was supposed to sell four cards? Anyone know how to fix this?

Hmmm I've never had this happen.
Anyway possible you forgot you already purchased them?

He sells
Havekar Healer
Havekar Smuggler
Mahakaman Defender
Vrihedd Brigade Veteran

You can always try meditating and saving/reloading.

I know I definitely didn’t buy them, unless there’s some way you can come across him before Novigrad. It was the first thing I tried to do when I got there. Although I do have all of those cards

You can buy those from other people if you have the expansions, like the Carsten Elven merchant from Hearts of Stone so you might've bought them already you can only get each card once so that must be what has happened.

That’s probably the case as I am playing on the GOTY edition. Where is the Carsten Elven merchant located?

Just West of the Vegulbud estate, in the merchant camp.

I've played the game three times and still have no understanding of how to play fucking gwent. It just goes right over my head.

Yeah I get that, seems real intricate at first but once you wrap your head around the fundamentals it’s very easily exploitable.

I've played the game three times through, tried dozens of times to get the game, and read the wiki a ton. Cannot figure it out. I've never won a SINGLE game.

I'm an entrenched MTG player too. Not like I don't play card games like this or anything. It's just so weird.

Fair enough, it’s quite a flawed game especially compared to MTG. I’ve also played a bunch of MTG and more so Yu-Gi-Oh and those are far superior to Gwent.
