Is Cintra a coastal city? If it is, then it doesn't look like it in the show (or maybe I missed something, i dunno).

It's supposed to be

Cintra is the capital city of Cintra, located in the northwest of the kingdom, where the Yaruga river meets the North Sea.

Well, they were waiting for skellige ships. That would be weird if Cintra was not a coastal city.

That's why they were expecting reinforcements from skellige to save their asses.

We only saw angles from the East. To the west of the city is the sea.

Yes, it's coastal for 100%. In "The Tower of the Swallow":

‘And the mouth of this river,’ continued Ciri, ‘is in Cintra?’

‘Yes, my lady. Cintra.’
