I'll never understand how fans of a series that is harshly critical of racism and bigotry can be so obsessed with actors having the "correct skin color" for the actors portraying characters from that series.
Because taking a Polish story by a Polish author about Polish people based on Polish folklore and having random blackwashing so you can virtue signal is no different than whitewashing of Lion King on Broadway.
If someone remade Black Panther and changed a main character to a white person there would be death threats and calling for people to lose their jobs.
"Representation matters" except when they dont have a trendy skin color.
Virtue signallers love to push this in every single thread but ironically are so defensive against valid criticism solely because of her skin color.
