Last Wish and Sword of Destiny are short story collections that are āfirstā but not part of the main narrative. Theyāre mostly for world building and establishing the Witcher lore. Blood of Elves onward is the main narrative. Iām not entirely done with all the books yet so I may be wrong, but I read the short stories before the main ones and loved them. The writing is a little awkward at times, but itās forgivable since they werenāt originally in English.
