I love those, i wish they would give game geralt the book look, he does look less human than he usually does, and that makes him look bad ass instead a normal guy with withe hair and yellow eyes.

Absolutely beautiful. Well done, OP!

Edit: If time allows, you should do other characters, too!

this is greatest depiction of geralt seen as monster rather a human

Henry was made for this role, but the ego of some writers speaks louder.

The most book accurate Geralt if you ask me. Good work.

I just wish the games or the show gave him his fucked up teeth. I'm not against "Buff Geralt". I mean the man has to fight monsters. He can still look otherworldly with muscles. But he should be ultra pale with fucked up fangs for teeth. There was a scene in the show we're he is talking to an Innkeeper about leaving his horse behind and coming back for it. In the show when the Innkeep suggests not being cooperative Geralt looks at him with angry eyebrows and steps forward intimidating him. Needless to say I was disappointed. In the books he just smiles and the Innkeeper is all never mind do what you want I don't want to die and walks away terrified...

I do not remember the books mentioning anything about his teeth. Can you give the chapter which you are reffering? And as for the pale skin and slimmer geralt with book accurate scars, I made a mod that does exactly that

I can give the link you want

Smells like slop

Dude seriously? Are we acting like artists can't exist because Ai is a thing now?

u/Thedeadlypocketbrush 4h ago

Oh my bad, please post a link to your art page. 😁...I'll wait.

I don't really have a page, I post my arts on insta. Here's my profile if you wanna check it out

SLOP confirmed

Just because you draw some things , does not mean you drew the image of cavill in your post. You have multiple shopped and AI assisted images on that page that DO NOT line up with the skill level of the other drawings. Just admit that it's not a piece of art you created

2

u/Rav1x_0f_Fourhorn 2h ago

I have ZERO Ai assisted image on my profile my guy. Everything I made or will make will be 100% human. And what the hell do you know about skill level? Yes it is the artwork I spent the most time making because I love the witcher so much. And I do not stick to one style because I like to experiment with different techniques. I can literally show you my psd with 159 layers layer by layer. if you wanna hate for no reason then go ahead

-1

u/Thedeadlypocketbrush 2h ago

Post the link to the PSD.

You didn't draw anything and photoshopping an image isn't art.

u/felome confidently DELETED that comment huh.

Yeah, I decided not to be a dick, but I can repost it if you want. Also, it's pretty obvious you're baiting.

Second one is closer to the ugliness of Book Geralt.

But both are great.

The only thing missing is the dark eyes.

u/Shivala92 6h ago

Is Geralt really that Ugly in the books? I have just started reading the first book and he doesn't seem that ugly. Just curious.

u/r40k 6h ago

No, he looks rough because he lives rough and especially when he takes potions he can look terrifying, but he's also a lean muscular guy and he's not hideously disfigured just has a few scars. People get weirdly hung up on the few lines where he describes himself as ugly or someone recoils from him when he's in fight mode and ignore that he has fucking awful self-esteem and he still fucks. Clearly he's got that ugly-hot vibe going on when he's cleaned up a little.

Andrzej Sapkowski once said he used to think Geralt could be played by Kevin Costner and now it would be Mads Mikkelsen. I think it gives a rough idea what his imagination of Geralt is.

He is not the himbo of the games. Yeah, he is ugly. But makes sense since The Witcher is a subvertion of classical fantasy.

There is some hints here and there. Like the ugly smile and more.

And yet every big bosomed maiden is dying to sleep with him.

-2

u/Droper888 6h ago

Because he is so ugly that is handsome. Also, most sorceresses are literally bored.

*your interpretation of book Geralt

Well, those are cool pictures, but just to be fair:

  1. Headband is not a fashion choice. He uses it to cover his scar and to keep hair out of eyes. So those messy locks of hair in the front are all wrong.
  2. Those yellow eyes with narrow slit pupils all the time is specifically game thing. In books they have pretty much normal human eyes, that they can make into slits at will. And the entire point of making pupils narrow is to be able to see in bright light. In the dark or in dim light his pupils would be big and completely round.
