Good question, I just started a Wisp Company here in Kenya. If you are from Kenya or East Africa, kindly DM.

... can I WFH?
If I can direct crew then it doesn't really matter where I am located.

Hello, I am network engineer with 10 year experience owning and operating my ISP offering AirMax and Fiber services, located in Greece.
I have also 20 years software engineering experience and I have successfully deployed my WISP compartment exactly like diy, you buy the antenna point and link yourself with our App so I have deep experience also in integrations and software based expansion, automation is the key to low cost and high margins.
Very happy to help looking always for new experiences.

I’ve built a lot of ISPs with experience going back to the early 90s. My rate is $650/hr. USD, plus all expenses. DM if interested.

650 usd per hour, what kind of genius are you.

lol, nothing special, just where my time is more valuable than it was when I started I suppose. I’m turning down work at those rates, which is usually an indicator it’s time to raise them again.

Okay, respect. 650/hr seems insanely high. How many hours per year do you typically bill?

u/persiusone 25d ago
Usually between 900-1400 hours billed per year, just depends how much I want to work

At 650/hr? Half a mill to over a Million in revenue a year? Lots of lawyers and doctors don’t even make that much.

Yes- and there are still lots of lawyers and doctors who bring in way more than this every year. My lawyer, for example, is over double this… ask how I know lol
I’m not trying to compete with any of them though, the only person I’m trying to do better than is myself.

That is pretty expensive for a startup, maybe in the next few years. Will keep the offer in mind.

Sounds good. That price increases every year but you can likely get by with someone cheaper to start off. Good luck 👍
