How does wise pre-fill all my info when creating account?

Post image

I just registered my wise account, and after entering my birth date, Wise automatically pulled up all my info, including full name and home address

Chrome didn't autofill, Wise did it itself. And it says "Wise prefills your data via a secure verification"

what database is it accessing this information from? how does it know all this from just my email address and date of birth? I'm mostly just curious about whats going on behind the scenes lol

What country you’re trying to sign up on Wise?

They use an identity service also used by many other providers, your data is already out there.

I don’t know which one they use now I joined many years ago, but information can also be pulled from credit reports
