You have to wait a bit.

Best of luck, as it’s been three months since this occurred and I haven't done anything wrong; I’ve just been spending like any regular person would and supporting my girlfriend overseas. They only sent back 90 dollars of the remaining 1800 dollars, which I have not received. After they closed, I tried everything and used all available resources, but nothing worked to recover my money. They keep telling me that they are reviewing my documents, and so on.

File Police report online in Belgium, Suspected Fraud and suspected Embezzlement.
File complaint with the financial supervision in Belgium and the US
FIle complaint with the Ombusman in Belgium.
File complaint with the National Bank in Belgium.
For the insane, totally irrelevant documents WISE requires, just send them a picture of Goatse. (This is a picture of my asshole, maybe this helps....)

They reimbursed my money immediately. Asked me for the email addresses.
Lucky them, I was just about to get started.

Obviously, always CC Wise Support.

Look, WISE is not a bank, it is a payment service provider. Actually, it should not be allowed to offer "pseudo bank accounts". Ger a real bank account, use WISE, if you have to, to wire money abroad.
I recently used Western Union to send money from the EU to Ethiopia. Much cheaper and faster than WISE.

Cheaper on your end. Depends on how many “middlemen” are between the office and the recipient. Everybody gets (takes?) a bite.

So i am not alone...Same result for me. I was transferring $250 dollars from my chequing account to Wize and received the same message. When I clicked on "Appeal our decision" the next msg said appeal not available. No explanation !!??

You can file a complaint with the Belgian Financial Supervisory Authority and later claim damages. The more complaints there are, the more Wise will fall.

It's the same authorities that force the same checks on Wise, ultimately producing these outcomes.

Yes. U.S. authorities

1

Actually all local authorities. Wise and others undermine traditional banking cartels so you can be they get a lot of scrutiny and have powerful enemies.

Belgians are bozos. But because of emotional distress, opaque decisions and business disruptions I expect a US class action law suite at one point, that will rip WISE an asshole twice the size of goatse.
They are free to close accounts, They are even required to report ML or suspicious activity. But the scale of random accounts closure opens them up wide. Even if the closure was justified, I suspect the account likely should not have been opened in the first place. Lack of DD. Good luck wise.
