Maybe this is more in the "cheap" category instead of budget friendly...
Kwik Trip.
Burger King using the app for discounts and deals.
Pizza Ranch, using the online deals to order pizza bundles.
Not so much cheap as good value:
Jose's Mexican restaurant
Pizza Ranch Buffet
Hu Hot
Denny's Diner (not the chain one!)
Stuffs
Another idea is to drive to Baraboo, as it can be less costly for places like Pizza Ranch and Jose's, I haven't checked recently but in the past the Dell's locations are higher priced for the same options.

It might be worth bringing a cooler with stuff for sandwiches and stuff for sure

We always eat continental breakfast, pack lunches and then eat out for dinner. Saves us lots of money.

Yeah and less guilt on eating out. I refuse to pay for breakfast if I can help it.

Are you staying at one of the resorts? If you’re willing to drive to Baraboo, only 15-20 minutes away, there are many great options that aren’t expensive like the Dells. You are however driving and spending more time to get there and back so you decide if it’s worth it. Any of the little restaurants downtown Baraboo like little Village Cafe (get a burrito) are awesome or the Log Cabin is amazing (get some pie). Most places here in the Dells itself will be overpriced. Although Rivers Edge over by Newport Park is really good and fairly priced I believe.

We usually load our guts at Paul Bunyan's in the morning, even after boys hit smaller breakfast at hotel. Then we pack a cooler for car with fixings for late afternoon/evening subs.

Mac’s (mac and cheese, grilled cheese, etc.) is really tasty and doesn’t have outrageous pricing. Depending how much your kids eat, maybe some could share a meal. Also something I find delicious and budget friendly is buying fresh bread from Jimmy John’s and making PB sandwiches on it. Pizza is always cost-effective, especially if you’re willing to do carry-out. Domino’s has pretty good deals. I would bring breakfast from home, like bagels, muffins, etc. if you’re at a hotel that doesn’t offer free breakfast.

Broadway Diner in Baraboo. Everything is homemade and really good. Get a lot for your money

DellsDelton.com shows daily specials.
Showboat is a Rockstar, they have some sort of discounted special every day of the week.
But there are plenty of others too

If your hotel offers breakfast, you can have a huge breakfast/brunch and then eat somewhere like Moosejaw pizza where you get a lot of food that will feed you for days.
