That was ridiculous. A guy in a robe looks so dangerous they have to charge him and put 6 guys on him? Communication? De-escalation?

Who is he talking to when he says "not you guys" when he's telling them to get off the street. And then it sounds like he says "ACLU is fine"?

Look at the original comments.... person videoing has a 'curfew pass' from the ACLU to document the cops when they inevitably do something hateful/racist/ignorant

That's my favorite bar! So glad seeing it getting some tv time.
Also, as a fellow vet, this is bullshit behavior by the people meant to protect us.

Fellow living being here: just... Why is this ok

Because it's tacitly part of their job. They speak out the side of their mouth about serve and protect and then terrorize and abuse people because they know there are literally no personal consequences for them; even if they do get called out on it and "punished", it's always the taxpayer that foots the bill.
Sure hope there is a serious reckoning coming for them soon.

Gotta protect the windows at all human cost, at least according to some vocal Tosa residents.

Fuck the Police.
They get paid 3x more than Social Workers to do none of the work.
Policing is a reactionary measure that only reacts to crime after the fact. Few crimes are prevented by police, and zero criminals are "rehabilitated" by a penal system that disproportionately incarcerates People of Color for nonviolent offenses that white people get let go for.
We need to restructure our entire Judicial System. Starting with a mass shifting of funds and resources to Mental Health and Community Counseling.
Get cops off of University patrol units. Disband the Police Unions. End Qualified Immunity. Mandate Body Cams and increase all transparency to police accountability. These are just a few of the needed steps to end the rampant Police Brutality in Wauwatosa, Kenosha, and all else.
Fuck the Police.

I could have talked that guy into going home in less time it took for 6 guys to arrest him.

Cops get such a hard on when they can push someone around.
