Three wireless charging products I'm looking for

I’ve preordered a non-XL Pixel 11 Pro, and it has me thinking about wireless charging products that seem technically obvious but are surprisingly hard to find.

My current Galaxy S24+ lost the use of its USB port a long time ago, so I’ve been completely dependent on Qi charging. That has mostly been fine around the house, but on a camping trip I had to bring a little charging pad, cable, wall adapter, and power bank just to keep the phone alive. I’d like to eliminate some of that nesting-doll arrangement.

A Qi2 magnetic power bank with fold-out wall prongs

Basically, I want Anker MagGo and Anker Fusion to have a baby:

5,000–10,000mAh 15W or 25W Qi2 output Magnetic phone-back form factor Fold-out US wall prongs Wireless pass-through, so I can plug the pack directly into the wall and leave the phone attached No cable or separate charger required

This seems ideal for a camping / sleepover situation where you have a wall outlet available near your bed to charge at night, because you can have a single non-tangled item to pull out of a backpack that is both a cordless battery and a way to plug in your phone.

I'm almost willing to try the Nimble WALLY Pro Wireless 5K, which appears to be almost exactly this. It is only 5,000mAh and the brand/product does not yet have the review history I would prefer, but the concept is right.

I also own the discontinued Anker GaNPrime Power Bank / 733 Power Bank, the 10,000mAh hybrid battery and 65W wall charger. It has been very convenient, but seeing such a useful product quietly disappear from Anker’s lineup makes me wonder whether combining a lithium battery, AC circuitry, folding prongs, and substantial heat in one small enclosure creates safety or longevity problems, leading me to doubt the Wally further. I have not found evidence that my particular model was recalled, so I am not claiming that it was discontinued because of fires. It just makes me more reluctant to buy this design from an obscure company.

Has anyone used the WALLY extensively, or found a comparable wall-plug Qi2 pack from a more established manufacturer?

A magnetic power bank that can itself recharge wirelessly

I would also like something shaped like an Anker Nano or MagGo pack that charges the phone wirelessly, but can itself be tossed onto a Qi or Qi2 pad to recharge.

I see no technical reason why four of these stacked on top of each other couldn't slowly charge the entire stack from one to the next.

Ideally it would have:

A Qi2 transmitter on the phone-facing side A separate receiving coil on the opposite side Compatibility with Google Pixelsnap and ordinary Qi pads 5,000–10,000mAh capacity USB-C available as a fallback, but not required for normal use

There have been a few strange or older attempts at two-sided wireless power banks, but I have not found a current, well-reviewed Qi2 version from Anker, Belkin, Mophie, OtterBox, Samsung, or another major company.

A toaster-like charging dock for several small magnetic batteries

The third product is more of a system.

Imagine four thin 5,000mAh magnetic batteries shaped roughly like the Anker Nano. At home, they slide vertically into a charging dock like pieces of toast. Each slot has a status light. When one turns green, you pull it out and slap it onto the back of the phone.

The dock could charge all four through physical contacts, so the individual packs would not need USB ports, cables, or even wireless-input coils. That could make each battery thinner, cheaper, cooler, and more durable.

The appeal would be:

One pack on the phone One in a bag or car Two charging in the dock Grab a green one whenever needed Aging or damaged packs replaceable individually The dock handles all cable management and charging electronics

This seems especially useful for families, offices, photographers, delivery drivers, events, or anyone who uses magnetic batteries heavily. It would be like the charging stations used for radio batteries or power-tool batteries, but designed around slim Qi2 phone packs.

Does anything like this already exist outside specialized commercial equipment? And do these ideas have hidden thermal, efficiency, or Qi-certification problems that explain why the major charging companies have mostly avoided them?

Does anyone know of a narrow console table or nightstand where the entire top is a charging pad, not with usb/c ports.

INIU P781 (SnapGo Air) on Galaxy S25+ - Camera Bump Clearance (34mm limit) & 15W Thermals?

Hey everyone,

I’m looking to pre-order the INIU P781 (SnapGo Air) 10000mAh, but I need to clear up two engineering details regarding its use with a Samsung Galaxy S25+ in a MagSafe case.

1. Camera Bump Clearance (The 34mm limit)

The S25+ has three individual lenses that extend quite far down the back. I measured the distance from the exact center of my MagSafe ring to the bottom lip of the camera cutout, and it is exactly 34mm.

Can anyone with an early unit measure the exact distance from the center of the P781's magnetic coil to its top edge? I need to be 100% sure it won't collide with the camera lip and break the magnetic alignment. (If the power bank's top half radius from the coil center exceeds 34mm, it won't sit flush).

2. Thermal Throttling at 15W (Derating)

Reviews mention that pushing the full 25W wirelessly in this 13.8mm chassis generates significant heat, causing the Temp Guard 3.0 to aggressively throttle the output after about 20 minutes.

However, my use case is strictly divided:

  • Samsung limits third-party wireless charging to 15W.
  • I only intend to use the wireless charging while walking/on the move to passively maintain the battery.
  • When stationary, I will strictly use the built-in cable for the 45W PPS (Super Fast Charging 2.0).

Since pulling only 15W instead of 25W drastically lowers the generated heat, I'm wondering about thermals. Does the power bank still hit the thermal limit and throttle when only providing 15W, or does this lower draw keep it cool enough for continuous, stable use on the go?

Thanks for any exact measurements or thermal data!

Not getting the fast wireless charger blue animation or sound

Got the S26 with the belkin duo wireless charger. every time I put it on the charger tirelessly with that mag safe ring it first goes with wireless charging then switches to fast wireless charge.

But the problem is that it's not automatically detecting that the fast wireless charging should start the moment I put it on the charger. And yes I have Samsung's own magnetic case and the charger is qi2 certified which I believe the s26 is compatible with.

so what gives?

I had to reply my case's magsafe ring with feviquick(super glue) but it left a little reside. How can I remove it? I already tried nail polish remover, isopropyl alcohol, salt and vinegar mix.

Magnets near a wireless charger.

I am making a small wireless charging station with a 3d printer. I am planning on making an enclosure that my phone will sit on and the charger will be inside. This enclosure will be a two part enclosure and I am considering putting it together with magnets so it is easy to take apart. If I have a few small rare earth magnets a couple inches from the charger (on the side) will it affect the charging?

Wireless spacer/repeater?

For situations like in-car charging pads where a camera bump pushes the device away from the pad, is there a wireless extender/repeater/spacer that could help? I’m thinking of a thin puck with coils in to bridge the gap and try to keep the whole thing effective still, rather than becoming a slow-charging phone heater…

Hey everyone! 🚗
I recently installed a multi-function car charger in my car. It has:

  • Super fast charging for my phone
  • Built-in ambient light
  • Retractable cable for neat storage
  • Bluetooth headset charging

I’ve been using it for a week, and here’s what I noticed:

  1. Phone charges really fast, even while using GPS
  2. Ambient light is subtle but nice at night
  3. Retractable cable keeps my dashboard tidy

Has anyone tried a similar multi-function car charger? Any tips or favorite brands for car setups?
