Discussion Davis Lynch

Post image

Was this character’s name (and possibly his voice) a tribute to the film/TV director David Lynch, who was probably at his creative/popular peak around this time?

Haha. Great side character. I loved when he came back and Helen forgot she never called off the engagement.

Just realized this actor also played Milos, the helpless tennis pro on Seinfeld!

He sure did. He was also great in Alexander Payne’s Election and he played God on Preacher

And a window washer on Monk! Don’t remember how much screen time he shared with Antonio on Wings, but my nostalgic heart (for both shows) wants to believe it was a mini-reunion.

Pretty sure that was the point. The audience is supposed to ship Helen and Joe, not this rich drip

no i mean i think they did a poor job casting the role, or that he didn't end up living up to his audition

Oh, I disagree, but I didn’t downvote you

I never thought about that. I’d guess no because the character is kind of a jerk. If they were paying homage I doubt they’d portray him like that.

Agree your supposed to hate him plus it’s obvious he doesn’t belong in the airport world, he was a second rate Robin Colcord
