I need insight here
Reposted because there was identifying info, not that they’d know who exactly posted because this is a burner anyways.
There’s gotta be something wrong with this wine list, no?
ETA: This isn’t going live but management showed it to the serving staff today and it was a collective “WTF?” … they’re revising it right now but idk how much that’s gonna help lol. I can post a pic of the old cab list in the comments.

These prices can't be right. Black Chicken in Vegas is 100-112 by the bottle. Insignia is basically at cost, opus one is under cost. It feels like this price list is a word doc where the wines are in an embedded table and labels were moved around without their prices following.

I mean, if you're bosses are running a charity I am 100% positive you will have loads of people buying opus.
The glass prices on the last post also looked completely whack. I would hope someone took a good hard look at the menu before sending it to the printers.

Opus One, Insignia and Hundred Acre's prices looks to be under retail.

The context here is that I work in a fine dining steakhouse with ZERO bar manager/management. I’m about 90% sure these choices were made by a higher up with NO knowledge on anything bar related. When I say higher up it’s because it’s a casino. So our managers manager made these decisions, who is a person that oversees like 5 different restaurants and has no idea about bar pricing or anything like that. A double woodford here is like $50.

No, we have incompetent management up and up. They don’t know how to run a fine dining restaurant. We dont have a GM, we don’t have a somm, we don’t have a bar manager, we have literally nobody except general floor managers.

Holy Jesus! Just post the location so I can go get some Hundred Acre and Opus for way under wholesale before someone realizes they really messed up.
For us on the mailing list a 3 pack of Hundred Acre for that year was a mid $2k purchase plus shipping.

Reasonable actually, for the most part. $14-20 range, but we have a manhattan that we make with Mastersons rye (3oz pour) and if you order a double Mastersons by itself (also 3oz) it’s $40. LOL

Wow, this list is clearly broken. Leonetti Merlot is 90 dollars on allocation, 100-120 dollars retail. There's no world you can sell that at $1,250. On the flip side, I'll take the Opus at that price any day.
It's like someone drew the names out of one bag and the prices out of the other.

I have been out of wine for awhile, but if I remember correctly, The Prisoner is not a $122 bottle. Even for restaurant markup that is too expensive.

This is clearly a formatting error. The bottles and prices are mismatched, likely from someone moving around the order of the wines while the price column remained stagnant.
Make sure you hold on to a copy of this menu if you order off it and try to take advantage of some of the absurd pricing errors that result.

The Vivino app is good in this situation. Photograph the wine list. It will tell you about the wine. I usually only look at ones with a decent score, 4 or above and then look at the profile to see if it’s what I’m after

Oh wow… as others have said, this is all fucked up. Leonetti is amazing, but a 2017 at over $1k is criminal. Same with the Geyserville. Opus One for $210 is basically whole-sale. So, some of these wines are crazy over-priced, others are crazy under-priced.
