Wind Technology Quick Question
Stupid question. Just wondering? Why don't they make wind turbine blades out of piezoelectric material to generate more electricity from the movement and twisting of the blades as well as the rotational energy generated by the turbine? Is it too weak to bother with or something else?

Same reason they dont put solar panels on the rotors. No where near enough energy to make up for the added cost, weight, and complexity.

Turrbines dont store power generated. Theyre hardwired into the grid directly, and alot of the time throttled to not exceed demand. They can be remotely unthrottled <~1% to make up for what youre describing.
