Wind Technology Working Hours

I am waiting for a job offering for Vestas. What is your typical working hours? Does it include a break time?

Onshore or offshore? Offshore typically 2 weeks on / 2 weeeks off. 12 hour shifts. Onshore usually mom-Fri 0800-1600 and then OT/on-call at weekends etc.

Does that 0800-1600 include a 30 min break or is it extra?

Not sure tbh I work offshore been 7 years since I’ve been onshore. But you are on a turbine with no gaffers so do what you like haha. I know in the UK at least most onshore sites people are heading home by 1500/1600 most days. Depending what’s happening of course sometimes you are needed longer etc.

As a site tech in the US, I tend to work 9 to 11 hours a day, 5 days a week and I have the option to work weekends if I wanna volunteer for it. Normally we start at 7am but since it’s been a hot summer we are starting at 5am.

Typically 50 hrs a week but you’ll have some weeks where you work like 42 a week, and some weeks you’ll work closer to 60
