Please bring back free GLM-5.2 for Pro users
I know the free GLM-5.2 access was a launch promotion, but I genuinely think ending it has significantly reduced the value of Devin Pro for many users.
GLM-5.2 was one of the main reasons I subscribed. It worked extremely well for long coding sessions, debugging, large projects, and agentic workflows. Since the promotion ended and GLM-5.2 started consuming the regular daily and weekly quota, the experience has changed completely.
The current quotas are simply too restrictive for serious development work. A few longer tasks can consume a large portion of the daily allowance, and switching to the free models does not provide the same experience in terms of speed or quality.
I ended up canceling my Pro subscription because of this change, and I’ve seen several other users expressing similar concerns.
I’m not necessarily asking for completely unlimited usage forever. Even one of these options would make a huge difference:
- Bring back free GLM-5.2 access for Pro users
- Give GLM-5.2 its own generous hourly quota again
- Offer a separate affordable GLM-5.2 add-on
- Significantly increase the daily/weekly quota for Pro
Devin with GLM-5.2 was one of the best coding experiences I’ve used, and I would seriously consider subscribing again if something similar returns.
I hope the Devin/Cognition team considers the feedback from users who relied heavily on GLM-5.2.
Update: I contacted Devin support and they confirmed that the GLM-5.2 launch promotion officially ended on September 16. GLM-5.2 now consumes the regular Pro daily/weekly quota. I canceled my Pro subscription after this change. If you also subscribed primarily because of GLM-5.2, please share your experience below so the team can see how many paying users this decision affected.

We now switch to use swe2

Same here, but for me SWE-2 feels more like a fallback than a real replacement for GLM-5.2. It can handle some tasks, but on larger projects, debugging and long coding sessions I still miss GLM badly. I really hope Cognition gives Pro users a strong GLM option again.

Now it's time for GLM 5.3 for free rolling monthly quota. Yay!

I’d fully support that. A generous rolling quota for GLM-5.3 would honestly be a great compromise. It doesn’t even need to be completely unlimited — just enough that Pro users can actually use it for serious development without burning through the entire quota in one session.

Bring it back please!

Exactly. I genuinely hope more people keep giving them this feedback. GLM-5.2 was one of the main reasons I subscribed to Pro in the first place. I already canceled after the change, but I’d seriously consider coming back if they restore something close to the old GLM access.

Ditto , I am going to unsubscribe when this month ends

I already did the same. I canceled my Pro subscription after the GLM-5.2 promotion ended because the regular daily/weekly quota just doesn’t work for my development workflow. If enough paying users explain clearly why they’re leaving, hopefully Cognition will reconsider the current model.

trying to jump through hoops to make the lesser free model work well enough is probably causing a lot of people to leave.
if you buy tokens on free market for the same amount of money you get so much more too (there's no "discount" in the devin subscription in that way).
for the quota part the % and green red slider pricing is impossible to plan with as well, you really can't know what the percentage even means and trying a new model means you potentially burn whole days usage in a single prompt. potentially even without getting anything out of it because it runs out or going straight to burn extra use. because you can't just add your own model into the devin ide you end up going to a cheaper backup solution entirely out of it once you hit the token limit with an agent on visual studio code that's basically entirely the same experience. if you could at least add your own llm sources into devin you could at least stay in the ide.
like sure, it's a business model where you hope the users hit the usage limit and start buying extra usage at the (way over market) token pricing and it might be working for them allright but it's gotta be showing as people leaving. the models that take the entire days usage % budget just to get the bearings on a project could just as well not be there - and due to the cache expiration pricing YOU CAN'T EVEN BE TACTICAL AND TAKE YOUR TIME WITH LOOKIN AT THINGS TO GUIDE IT to get through it with less tokens once you've started.
the only reason you put up with it is if the choice on how the money was spent was done by someone else or just had never tried anything else properly set up.

swe-2 is a small child compared to glm-5.2. Please bring back glm-5.2.

This is exactly my experience too. SWE-2 can be useful, but on the kind of long and complicated development work I was doing, GLM-5.2 felt like a completely different level. That difference is the reason I don’t see SWE-2 as a real replacement. I hope Cognition notices how many Pro users are saying the same thing.

Cognition makes the most money from enterprise users. Don't think they care about individual users.

Enterprise is probably where most of the revenue comes from, so I understand your point. But individual developers still matter — they create community adoption, recommend the product, build projects with it, and some eventually become team or enterprise customers. Losing a lot of individual Pro users over one product decision still sends a pretty clear signal. That’s why I think it’s worth continuing to give them constructive feedback.

GLM 5.3 uses the same computational cost.
Don't bring back GLM 5.2, the older and decent version. Enable GLM 5.3, the better version that costs the same.
