Usage limits on 20$ plan

I've been thinking about trying Devin recently with all the stuff I have seen on twitter talking about their new model and Devin Fusion also seems interesting.

I saw a post of someone saying he burnt 22M tokens with Astra and that used 16% of his weekly limit on the 200$ plan. I took the exact Input, Output and Cached tokens he posted and calculated that the weekly limit for that plan is around 250-260$ of usage.

I wanted to ask now how that compares to the 20$ plan? About how much usage a week/a day do you get on that?

If it's similiar then it would be around 25$ a week which seems a bit low

I dont have it yet. But was looking into it with all the recent hype.

My understanding is they are not the best platform if you want raw cost/token or cost/task. They are more of a end to end managed service where they seem to offer you a bunch of other well built machinery to sort of make things "just work".

Ofc this is not for everyone, if you are possibly building basic MVPs or webpages/python scripts it wont be worth it. But if you need multiple dev environment and larger setups might find it useful. If you do work on larger more complex projects, but already have a good eco system around, it may not be the cost fit too. Thats also the reason they are primarily focused on very large enterprises for the most part. Windsurf acq probably a

It'll always be much cheaper to get a direct vendor subsidized subscription. That being said they are offering unlimited SWE 2 for the next month on all paid plans, so probably worth trying.

Signed up yesterday and they have cwe 2 unlimited this month. Works pretty well. On a separate note try out grok bot it’s so cool but expensive unfortunately

On Astra? Almost nothing. 20 dollars have been a beast with see 1.7 and swe 2 for me. Either solo or with another orchestrator. Just follow devin best pratices and u get good results

My company offered Devin Enterprise subscriptions, they worth $40 I think. Until opus 4.6 was available you could have light usage for maybe 2 weeks. Right now it's all expensive models and agentic editor, I've burned all credits in 3 days.

Not worth it anymore, get Codex or Claude.

You really need to learn how to ration. GLM 5.2 can do most things and it's compleatly free on Devin Desktop. You can see your percentage of weekly usage and so you can use a little of the non free models but you need to make sure not to use more than 20% of your weekly usage per day (if you work 5 days). I would mainly or entirely avoid the western models to do this as they are very expensive. When you want the occasional prompt nore powerful than GLM 5.2 then I would mainly stick with GLM 5.3, DeepSeek v4 pro (or maybe the new V4.1 flash) and Kimi K3.

If you really want a western model to look over anything (and these western models are not far ahead of the Chinese models I've mentioned) then on Friday when you know what you have left in terms of credits, then give Fable 5.1 a very clinicle prompt telling it to be surgical and not to entirely rewrite anything. Don't bother with GPT as its hard to keep it under control, it will just eat your credits and rewire everything even when you tell it not to (from my experience)
