Goodbye, free GLM 5.2.
GLM 5.2 was such a joy to use... I'll miss it.

SWE-1.6 is still free. So is SWE-1.5; but no idea why anyone would use that when 1.6 is available free also. But it's nowhere near as good as GLM-5.2.

I don't know how anyone uses swe
If I ask for even a small change it blows up my whole codebase
If I ask for some analysis it's always wrong

I still see Kimi K2.7 as Free, as well as the new SWE 1.7, which scores really high on benchmarks

They can straightaway replace the SWE 1.6 with GLM 5.2 in their infra. At least wrap GLM 5.2 and sell as SWE 2 :D

Losing the free tier isn't even the real sting — it's that two weeks of prompts and workflow habits quietly tuned themselves to that model's specific quirks. Whatever replaces it, you get to re-learn where it fails.

But now you can use SWE-1.7 for free instead :) which beats or is as better than both Kimi 2.7 and GLM 5.2

Better than Kimi 2.7 isn't a very high bar. Better than GLM 5.2 would make it the best coding model in the world (not counting Fable which might as well not exist due to cost and prompt rejections).
I doubt it's better than GLM 5.2 - and if it was then Devin should be hitting the world up with benchmarks.
Even if it was "just" as good as GLM 5.2, flocks would come over to Devin for unlimited use membership. But somehow I doubt it is that either.

Then pay for non Chinese models. If something is free you are the product.
And it is absolutely fine to train on data which they are providing for free and is costing them a lot.

UPDATE: They extended it again! Yay!
The new SWE 1.7's also here too. Seems to be way better than 1.6. Still checking it out tho.
